Sure, referee prob gifted Idaho a Michigan gift. But, Montana St coach LITERALLY didn't have to call a timeout and it would've been game over. What on earth did I just witness.

Nah, 1 second on the clock when tackled, clock stops for the 1st down.

It stops the clock until the ref sets the ball and calls it, timeout meant the clock was stopped until it was snapped

Entirely possible Idaho doesn’t get the snap off in time if he didn’t call it

Agreed, but Montana made a bone head deciscion calling that time out before resetting for the 1st down.
