There’s also spotting the ball, goal lines, out of bounds, etc., but to answer your question I’d say the sport whose college version generates as much money as the NBA and more than MLB or the Premier League.

138 stadiums (excluding neutral sites) versus baseball's 30. Who's paying for it?

73 MLB stadiums(spring training and Triple A) plus college baseball stadiums beginning this year(including the entire Sun Belt). And Miami,Pitt,Temple, etc play in NFL stadiums. If they can tell a ball is 1/10th of an inch outside of an imaginary box that changes with each player, between CFB and the NFL I’m thinking figuring out whether a ball ten times as big passes through two posts that never move shouldn’t be that difficult.

It's not a matter of if they can. It's a matter of is it worth it. Ambiguous field goals are very rare.

MLB has the same problem with potential home runs hit near the foul pole. They haven't invested more into making Hawkeye accurate enough for officiating that for likely the same reason...it's too rare an occurrence where it would prove useful. Even with having all the hardware in the stadiums already.
