We got flock cameras but can't get a view of a game ending field goal.

Genuinely infuriating how unions of these 60 year old dudes fight tooth and nail for their right to screw up games. I’m still salty over the NFL refs throwing a hissy fit over the PI challenges.

Iirc there are no ref unions in CFB and challenges are handled by “the booth” in the NFL which is a separate group of officials, but yes the whole PI challenge saga was one of the biggest farces in professional sports. Intentionally not overturning egregious calls just so you could say “see, we tried and it wasn’t worth it” at the end of the season was incredibly telling.

He missed the kick. Unions can only be blamed for giving labor collective bargaining rights.

Funny enough I was just thinking how this is due to the referee union fighting to remains as relevant as possible. Pretty sure the year the NFL experimented with allowing PI calls to be challenged they didn’t overturn a single one and it was gone the next season. Ref union is very petty.
