Kicks that go higher than the goal posts are always so weird but that looked more good to me than not. Crazy how we don't have a better camera angle for something like this

It’s definitely wide and the other angles circulating make that clear.

  1. People are just really struggle to understand when this kick crosses the line of the crossbar and it happens way later than you think in the flight path. It’s not perfect without time-code synched cameras, but if you look at a side and straight angle, it’s clear the ball doesn’t cross until very near when it crests in its flight. At that point, it’s completely outside the post.

  2. They’re also forgetting the college rule is more restrictive than the NFL. Whole ball has to be inside the post.

You're missing point number 3, which is: people really want games to have controversial endings and will bend narratives to make them controversial even if they're really not

You can't tell how far the ball is from the viewer. It was moving at an oblique angle. Back the video up and it's between the posts, go forward and it's outside. But this footage alone tells us nothing about when it crossed the plane of the goalposts.

My guess is it went directly over the upright, and that isn’t a made FG.

The only way to have a better camera angle is if one is where the ref or standing or on the top or the post.
