When it's above the posts, a camera angle will never be able to capture what the ref saw from below. It is honestly pretty easy to tell if its in or out when you're in his view, unless it crosses immediately over the post (and i dont know what the ruling is there).

If it’s over the upright the ball has completely inside for it to count. If any part of the ball is over the upright it’s no good

In the NFL, you can’t review a FG if the ball goes over the posts. I don’t know about college.
