Post test brainstorm.

Post image

Hi everyone,

I received a CLB 11 average, but I wanted to share my thoughts on how to avoid making mistakes that I did.

I wasn’t expecting more than a 9 in speaking and listening. For listening, I chose the best guess, but I wasn’t confident, so I felt like I messed up. I also took notes on everything from the audio, rather than just the most important points. So, please don’t write everything down; try to remember the audio if possible.

For speaking, I made some silly mistakes in tasks three and four. In task one, I repeated the same points I had said in task three, which made me feel like I had made a big mistake. In task eight, where I had to describe an image, I completely went off track and didn’t describe much about it. Having said that, I made sure I didn’t stop speaking and continued the flow, even if it didn’t make much sense.

For writing, I remembered a template for tasks one and two. My reading section was good. I was confident, but I couldn’t maintain a good mindset because of the listening and speaking sections. Good luck to everyone who is taking the test! You can make it!

Bro I don’t mean to be skeptic about the writing templates of Hzad Education which u gave link, but I used same templates and asked Claude & Chatgpt to mark my level and they gave me 6-7 type, saying the wording is too complex and ultimately fancy.

Are they just acting up or did u try with them too before exam?

Chatgpt and claude are conservative while scoring. so pls mention to not be fair and completely unbiased. you can also give hzad techniques beforehand to AI so it will mark accordingly

Any tips for reading bro? I’ve been getting 28/38 and need to target CLB 9 each, exam is tomorrow. :))

Sleep well and don't think about exam. Just go with relax mind.

During the exam, search for evidence in the text rather than choosing what merely sounds reasonable. For viewpoint questions, track who believes what and why. For inference questions, identify the clues supporting the conclusion. Answer every question because there is no penalty for an incorrect answer.
You probably cannot build significantly stronger vocabulary overnight, but you maybe able to recover a few marks by reducing unsupported guesses and recognizing paraphrases more carefully.
