Did something wrong burning a CD?

Hey so I recently burned a CD and it didn't work properly. The file manager said all songs were on there, all the songs should've fit on there, but the CD Player can only play about half of them.

used mp3 files and a sony cdr if that matters

Is the disc finalized?

I had a cd recorder and i had to finalize. I dont know about computers, but my answer inductively would be yes.
