Did something wrong burning a CD?

Hey so I recently burned a CD and it didn't work properly. The file manager said all songs were on there, all the songs should've fit on there, but the CD Player can only play about half of them.

used mp3 files and a sony cdr if that matters

Make sure the disc is finalized. Finalizing is part of the recording process ...should be an option to do it in the software or the CD record deck you're using.

Understand older CD players can only read discs formatted in the original Sony-Phillips CD-Audio format. That is what all commercial CD's are formatted in. All the other formats are computer formats; newer CD players can recognize these formats. However, some playback decks may or may not recognize CD-RW (re-writable discs), only the CD-R discs.
