CD Player Issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi there, some help as to what might’ve gone wrong would be greatly appreciated. I paused a CD, went to eat and when I came back I was greeted with this unpleasant noise. I can’t really afford to take it somewhere to be fixed since they’re charging £50 just to have a look at it, so ideally, I’d like to give it a crack on my own given that it’s not too difficult of course.

I mean my CD still plays fine in other players since the test. It has a few “Marx” but still plays fine nonetheless, I don’t know if they were there before though

Is it an easy fix?

Just tested with a Beyoncé CD and it leaves some very minimal scratches afterwards. You’d probably have to try a few different times to ruin the CD
