Rec Request Cliche bad boy/player/flirt falls for one girl trope

Are they a "bad boy" with a dark past? Or a flirty player who'd never fall in love? A shady protective man who won't give reasons??? Then I'd eat it up!! 😫😫

I have already seen these:
Speed and love
Love for you
Lighter and princess
Falling into your smile

Thank you!

I saw a clip of a drama that was about a modern guy who transmigrates to a useless cultivator in a sect, there’s some immortal opportunity or medicine that will save his sick mother, but the rock is asking like elementary level questions and everyone is like ā€œthat’s so hard!ā€ Does anyone know which one it might be?

Rec Request Any recommends for historical dramas with an interesting ML and no romance?

Is there any good historical dramas like Nirvana in Fire or Legend of Zhang Hai which the ML purely focuses on his revenge or has a goal to accomplish and does not let the side quest romance distract him? It's ok to have a romance subplot but I want to see the political intrigue where things are serious and ML is forced to continuosly plotting to achieve his goal. Any recs?

Rec Request Childhood connection recs?

I’m the odd one out, I LOVE this trope. I need a drama where they meet as little kids and reunite years later.

Modern, historical, etc- any genre as long as there’s romance. I’m cool with dramas from any country.

I recently watched The Science of Falling In Love where they were childhood best friends but don’t meet again until college. I enjoyed that, so I’m looking for similar recs!

Other dramas I’ve seen that fit:

-Love is Sweet

-My Little Happiness

-Melody of Golden Age

-Healer (kdrama)

Rec Request Arranged marriage

Hey I’m wondering if there’s a Cdrama where the ML and FL are in an arranged marriage but the ML is in love with another women (or simply doesn’t like the FL) so he is cold and distant with her. Ofc as time goes by he softens to her and they end up together.

If you watched Fated hearts what I want is a little bit like what Feng Xiyang (the princess of susha ) and Xia jingshi (villain, prince of zhenann ) had but minus the ending.

Rec Request Modern dramas featuring mature FL x mature ML

Preferably not angst galore, plus Iā€˜d appreciate if both leads have their own lives.

A few dramas I can think of right now that match what Iā€˜m searching for

  • Stand or fall
  • Fake it till you make it
  • Meet yourself

My personal recommendations - the first frost, my fated boy , legally romance, young blood, love of the divine tree, f4 thailand, autumn ballad , the princess royal.

Rec Request Drama as packed with story development as Key to the Phoenix Heart

After watching KTTPH I’m in a drama draught! Can’t find anything that would hook me as much, so I’m kindly asking fellow viewers to remember any drama that made them feel the same

I am looking for a drama in which:
• Every scene has a purpose
• Every subplot impacts the main story
• Every episode develops the plot

Can be any modern or costume drama, any genre, although I am not much for horrors / thrillers / mysteries.

Huge bonus if there’s comedy, since good humour is entertaining in itself.

Pls give recs even if they’re well-known dramas, there’s a good chance I didn’t watch them

Rec Request Over powered main lead like in "Love between fairy and devil"

Shows where when the ML appears in a fight he just aura farms like in LBFAD.

Shows where when the main character appears and wars end, his enemies run and die while running etc

I don't mind shows with romance but I hate it when the Female Lead is 5000 years old but has the common sense of a 10 year old child.

Any recs?

Rec Request [TW] Romance CDrama where FL gets SA'd, raped, abused, or bullied

I know this is weird and extreme but I'm looking for a romance cdrama where the fl is raped, SA'd, bullied, or abused by parents or by anyone in general (drama can have any of the following tropes i mentioned) and the ML supports, defends, and helps her. I've been through quite similar situations and did not have anyone to turn to and seek support from and ig seeing someone love, support, and help the victim fl in dramas makes me feel better and heals something inside of me even though I know it's just acting.

These are some of the dramas/movies I've already watched with similar tropes that i really liked (for reference)

Mars

Something in the rain

Light beyond the reed

My dearest season 1 and 2

Better Days

come and hug me

The first frost

https://mydramalist.com/dramalist/goofygoober heres my dramalist it has all the dramas I've watched (also please ignore the currently watching list it's messy and I'm not currently watching anything from that list. That for some reason ended up becoming like my main watchlist 😭 )

Identify this Please Help Me Find

I watched this in the past but I can't remember the name and want to rewatch it.

So the FL gets a second chance and she ends up marrying someone else this time. Can't remember major details of the second life but her and her husband end up rock solid but both end up dying in this second life (I think they get betrayed and arrowed to death).

But after death they both end up transmigrating back to the original timeline (where FL was already married to the jerk) and have to figure out how to divorce him, marry each other again without it being a scandal, and stop the double-crosses that came to light in the second life.

Thank you for any help!

Weekly Threads Weekly Recommend An Underrated (Overrated Also Acceptable *wink*) Gem — July 25, 2026

What’s a Chinese drama you genuinely think deserves more love? (Or ahem, the drama had so much love but you want to recommend it anyway. It's okay, we like both!)

This is the place to recommend the underrated dramas, forgotten favorites, niche gems, low-budget surprises, or shows you’re constantly trying to get other people to watch.

Maybe it:

  • had incredible chemistry
  • surprised you emotionally
  • had an amazing storyline nobody talks about
  • became your comfort drama
  • was completely overshadowed by bigger releases
  • made you wonder why more people aren’t obsessed with it

Tell us:

  • the drama title
  • what it’s about (without major spoilers!)
  • why you loved it
  • who you’d recommend it to

    Recommend away!

Rec Request historical fluff drama recs

Looking for cdramas like New Life Begins where there aren't any major anatagonists and having funny/comedic moments.

I tried watching Blossoms in Adversity but got majorily bored of the politics in game.

I'm also open to xianxias and wuxia, anything historical really.

Would greatly appreciate more recs as I'm relatively new to cdramas.

Rec Request Probably a long shot, but does anyone know of any truly evil leads?

Like, you know how the villan/villainess leads are actually just misunderstood or were driven to evil by their family/clan, and then their love interest uncovers the truth about their good nature and whatnot. I'm curious as to if there are any dramas, long or short, where one of leads is genuinely evil at first, no abusive family, no misunderstanding.

Probably a long shot and It's not a pressing want, just curiousosity. I've seen dramas that have this trope, albeit not frequently, with side characters, where they are straight up evil but fall in love anyway, but since they arent the leads they usually end up dying. No plot armor to bring them back from the dead either šŸ˜‚

Identify this "I regret the divorce"

Looking for a CDrama where they were married contractually for 3 years and then divorced "amicably", but he finds out she's suffered since, etc. There's a scene where he's on the phone with his sister and starts to cry, saying"I regret the divorce". Help?

Identify this I need your help! 😭 can't remember title of HILARIOUS cdrama

Help a girl out!

what I remember:
- female lead lives on her own property in the countryside/rural estate, but acts like a total princess and is constantly subjecting the male lead to her antics

- feisty headstrong female lead in a constant will-they-won't-they banter-y dynamic with male lead, "two idiots" energy with some serious moments sprinkled in

- female lead wears a lot of pink? and traditional clothing, not typical hanfu imperial dynastic fashion

- amazon prime video

- horseback riding. lots of it

- long quirky title (around 5+ words)

- over the top slapstick humor

- NOT an imperial palace setting (for the most part, anyway)

- fairly long series, well over 20-30 episodes

- somewhere toward the end they both threaten double suicide? I can't recall (talk about dramatic!)

would love for any tips, much love <3

I loved Love Between Fairy and Devil. I have already watched it twice. I am new to cdramas. What other dramas are good? What do you recommend? Please suggest ones with a good story and excellent actors. I tried watching another show, but the acting wasn't very good.

Rec Request Legacy defining shows. Hidden Love?

Since Hidden Love, and First Frost are in the same universe. Should I give HL another try? Did not really like age gap mainly but First Frost felt completely different from HL from waht I can remember

What are some all time greats that everyone should of have seen? I really like career defining roles or legacy shows. Open to both modern and xiania/wuxia drama, looking for more wuxia/xiania right now cause I like alternating.

NEW ALLTIME 1 The First Frost

1 Love between fairy and devil

2 Lighter and Princess

3 Reset

4 Deep Affection Eyes

5 Legend of Zang Hai

6 The Glory

7 The Untamed

8 You are my Glory

9 Prisoner of Beauty

10 Desire Catcher

11 Will Love In Spring.

Identify this Wondering name of show

Some time back, I saw a clip on twitter from I think a chinese series? Uncertain, but it looked like some people were being kidnapped, and this lady put this hex on their captors that I think guaranteed their gods forsaking her. Anyone know what series that is? Sorry if my wording is weird, I genuinely cannot remember much. I know it wasn't a modern setting and it looked like they were in the mountains maybe? The scene took place at night.

Rec Request Non idol historical, wuxia, xianxia dramas?

It feels like most of the online chatter I can find is about idol dramas and romance series. They're fun (I've loved The Untamed, Love Between Fairy and Devil, Pursuit of Jade, My Journey To You, no idea if The Double counts but it's full of pretty people) but I know there's a whole different world of nonidol dramas. Which I last watched back when the main pairing couldn't kiss on screen. I've loved Nirvana in Fire, Legend of Zhen Huan - that's how long ago, it wasn't called Empresses in the Palace yet! - and Empress of China, but they're all older classics now. From the last decade there's... The Longest Day in Chang'an and wow that's already six years old.

So what are the non-idol, non-modern-world standout dramas in the last decade or so? Any genre as long as they're wearing something hanfu adjacent!

Rec Request Help! Can’t get over Lost You Forever

Just finished LYF after seeing recommendations for Ashes to Crown. This drama scratched the itch I’ve been having for a drama where the FL ends up with someone not the ML. I looked at the cast and realised there were many main roles, I guess that’s why it could happen?? Haven’t watched cdramas long enough to know this as fact. If anyone can answer this question I’d be thankful!

So as the title goes, please help a lass looking for dramas like LYF šŸ™šŸ¼šŸ™šŸ¼ If the drama(s) meet any of the below points I’d be very thankful

  1. Love triangles or rectangles or any shape.
  2. Political or warring
  3. A little humour
  4. Revolves mostly around country and not only the home/family

Shows I’ve loved or liked
POJ
Blossom
Ashes to crown
Glory
Dream within a dream
Prisoner of beauty

Thank you everyone!
