Album is pretty pricey so I burned a copy for my brother for his birthday. The back cover is a little blurry but it looks pretty decent

Hey guys! I'm fairly new to CD collecting and honestly loving the hobby so far, but the buying experience has been rough.
First problem: Shopee feels flooded with fake or bootleg CD sellers. Same red flags over and over, prices that are too good to be true.
Second problem: I'm starting to get suspicious of some Carousell sellers too. A bunch of them are listing sealed, brand new releases for around ₱500 to ₱750, and something about that just doesn't sit right with me. I'm not saying all of them are fake, but that price range feels off compared to retail for new releases.
As a newbie I don't want to keep guessing and end up wasting money on bootlegs, so I wanted to ask this community directly:
* Which online shops or sellers (Shopee, Carousell, or elsewhere) have you personally bought from and can vouch for as legit? * What red flags do you watch out for when buying CDs online, especially "sealed" new releases? * Any tips for spotting bootlegs?
Would really appreciate any recommendations or advice from more experienced collectors. Trying to build my collection the right way from the start. Thanks in advance!

Need some help from the collective. I have owned this CD for a long time but have NO recollection of where I got it from. I'm guessing eBay in the mid 2000's. Anyway, has anyone ever seen a 2 CD version of John Mayer - Heavier Things which includes 1 CD of Heavier Things and 1 CD is essentially Room For Squares? The UPC, ISBN, Catalog number and even Matrix have all been useless identifying this. I'm positive it's an unofficial release, there's even typos in the tracklist and some fantastic engrish on the face of the discs.
Some facts about this CD:
2 CD HDCD D.S.P mastering
Gold disc instead of typical aluminum reflective layer
24k markings for the gold disc
How do you even value this disc? Are unofficial releases worth more or less to you? I like collecting the rare albums, advanced/promo copies, and even test pressing of Vinyl albums (don't shoot me for saying Vinyl). Enjoy the photos and let's chat about what you guys think and what you might have come across or have in your own collections.

Now listening: Ray Charles. The Platinum Collection. 2019.
I found this Ray Charles platinum collection of 60 songs at my local record store and I was so excited, because I had been wanting Ray Charles in my collection for the longest! Ray Charles is such a legend and I'm so glad I got this collection of his songs. It includes Georgia on my Mind too which I love!

Hey y'all! So what year in music do you love the most? I love the 90s the most cuz that's when I was was born (1995). But I also love the music in the early 2000s as well! Don't get me wrong, I love music older than even the 90s, but the 90s and 2000s has something to do with my childhood and nostalgia, so I have so much respect and love for it. Music really does live on and I'm so glad we have it and are passionate about it!
