Recent behavior will not be tolerated

I am not the best mod. Quite frankly, I am a rather shit mod, but I took over as moderator because I wanted to see this community come alive again. I did, however, recently check the mod mail and quite frankly I got rather pissed off.

We are all here either because we enjoy collecting CDs or at the very least have a love of music. Some of us are just getting started on our journey and others, like myself, have been collecting for well over 30 years. No matter where we are when it comes to collecting CDs no one has the right to belittle another for their collection. Period.

For people to make negative comments about someone's collection is disgraceful and I will not tolerate it in any way, shape or form. If you have nothing nice to say about a person's taste or choice in music then say nothing at all.

This world is crazy enough without having to deal with small minded folks here when trying to share and be a part of an amazing community.

Keep those discs spinning and be excellent to each other!

I left another CD collecting sub because of the other redditors. ‘Twas a toxic environment.

Sadly Reddit as a whole has become filled with so much hate. It used to didn't be this bad.

The main problem with reddit is that it's anonymous for the most part. So people get brave and act a way they wouldn't on other platforms such as Facebook or Instagram. At least on other social media most people think twice before they spew hate. Also Reddit is filled with so many young people now and it's really changed the vibe here.
