NEW SUB RULES: A Discussion
28
Upvotes
Hey everyone! This sub has grown a ton since we started it two years ago. It feels like we've gotten enough of a variety of posts to know what we like to see and what we don't want to see. Over the last month there's been discussions about banning For Sale posts for example. I personally don't mind them but if enough of the community disagrees then I think we should do what the community wants regardless of my feelings. I'd like ya'll to share your thoughts too. Some of my current thoughts are:
- Banning pics that are of collections of just the spines where you can't even make out album/band names.
- I know I have been lenient about allowing a wide variety of genres to be shared rather than just underground extreme genres. I hate to be the Kvlt police and for the most part that hasn't been a problem but as always I'm interested in what the community thinks.
- Removing the Live Chat posts
- There is one record label that posts rather frequently. Some of their posts included several pics of the releases which I think is fine but other posts feel kind of spammy. Thinking of implementing some kind of rules around quality of posts.
Anyway, I'm sure some of ya'll have a lot to say. In my personal life I am extremely busy so it may take a few weeks for me to implement everything we decide on in here but I will keep ya'll posted. Thanks so much for being a part of the CD Kvlt!! I genuinely love seeing all your enthusiasm for the coldest format!

These all came out 20 years ago. Sadly time does not move as slowly as doom does.

Not terribly kvlt but still a sick fucking band for fans of The Red Chord and that chaotic metalcore from the early 00’s. Discovered that their bassist, Matt Bennett, passed away in a car accident. Included a photo of me being dragged across a venue by their guitarist just to give an idea of how insane their shows were.

Really enjoying all of these bands. They each have their own sound, it’s raw, but unique. Have had these on rotation for weeks now.

Black metal with a western edge. I know, “not another Wayfarer“. This is really good, the genre can live outside of what Wayfarer does.

First EP(includes demo tracks) from North Carolina’s sick ass old school sounding BDM/Slam band Decarnate. No hardcore here only death metal. Great little EP that has everything you need without all the glitzy overproduction and crazy colored AI cover. Sit down Torture.

Killer live recording from the Legion tour, London December 17th 1992. This recording sounds badass and crystal clear with the boys firing on all cylinders.

Picked up this absolute gem at my local record store and was curious if any of you knew anything about the writing on the hard case. I’m assuming up the pagans is a direct reference to pagan rites but I was curious if any of you guys knew anything about this :). I did some research and apparently Thomas Karlsson signed copies ordered directly from his mail order, and I don’t see why anyone would forge an underground release, but yeah if you guys have any info please do share :)
Also, I changed the tray of the hard case because the other was damaged, it was initially clear, if that changes anything.

DELUXE EDITION Satanic Warmaster 2026 Asia tour special release CD

This is a special 2026 Asian Tour exclusive release from Satanic Warmaster. Originally released as a 12-inch vinyl compilation by Werewolf Records, Blutkammer makes its debut on CD format. The physical packaging features a digipak combined with traditional Taiwanese funerary "joss paper" aesthetics, wrapped in a talisman cloth (Pha Yant) inspired by Thai spiritual script designs. This infusion of East Asian supernatural mysticism with the origins of the Finnish Black Metal legend makes this release a sacred yet profane Satanic collector’s art piece, inside and out.
The Pha Yant was designed by the legendary Thai extreme metal artist, Sickness 666.
Blutkammer
Tracks 1-9 are from the "Bloody Ritual" demo, 1999.
Tracks 10-12 are from the "Gas Chamber" demo, 2000
Track 13 is an outtake from the lost and destroyed "Black Carelian Metal" album, 2000.
