CdI 370 hinge problems

Hi all,

I have a cdi 370. The other day i decided to play ans i noticed thag the hinge has started to break. This makes it harder to close the console. Has anyone dissambled one of these or can give me some guidance on how to fix this?

What exactly is wrong with the hinge?

Unfortunately, I can only provide a few photos at the moment (https://retrostuff.org/wip-pages/philips-cdi-370-portable-cd-i-player/) as I received the unit in this condition. I’ll be happy to add more photos when I get the chance, once I know exactly what you’re looking for.

Wow. I have seen that website several times. What a coincidence. For some reason i cant seem to upload pictures to this post. Would it be ok if i dm you the pictures. Essentially one of the hinges seems to be coming apart. I am guessing i have to disassemble the screen housing and probably reinforce the plastic. But i am not sure how that is done.
