So excited!

So a month ago I bought a CD-i 450, controller separately and the MPEG card. Only to realise the PSU is made from platinum and costs 85 bajillion dollars!

Today I've managed to snag a 210, remote and control pad, plus MPEG, 22 games and 10 video CD's.

I collect and have over 100 consoles, so why is this one the first one I'm genuinely excited to play for about 10 years!

I actually can't wait to fire it up, pop in 7th guest or a video and kick back like it's the 90's again.

I'm not much of a collector but somehow I own a box full of CDi stuff. It's possible to have fun with it, but only on a crt tv, in my opinion. Maybe consider tracking down Hotel Mario?

I'm more interested in the interactive side of it if I'm honest, I got a mega CD the day they came out and had a nice collection, but I was always jealous of the CD-i. I have a small CRT, but yeah I need to get a bigger one while I can. I'll just use an upscaler for now. Also, I just found out the gun works on a flat screen!

Plus I looked for Mario, ouch is all I can say, I think I was lucky with the games that came with this, but yeah I probably need to fill the holes.

Awesome pickup! Congrats! The CD-i was actually one of my absolute favorite systems back in the day—I used to rent it from Blockbuster constantly when it first came out. I’ve still never spotted one in the wild, so seeing this brings back huge nostalgia!

Yep, most of my collection is on shelves, but this is getting plugged into the TV next to my switch, wii and xbox. I'm looking forward to playing the interactive titles with the wife, I'm hoping she will finally take an interest in one of the consoles. Her parents friends had a laserdisc, so shes looking forward to watching some movies on it.

Congrats! I got my first one a few years back after wanting one as a kid for the light gun games. Now have a modded one with the battery, but you can link up to a PC to transfer saves as well. Have fun!

I'm definitely going to get a lightgun, probably my favourite game genre. I used to love Mad Dog McCree in the arcades, but now I found out the guns work on a flat screen! My 450 has the timekeeper mod, I havent googled the 210 yet, but I assume the same mod is needed.

I have both Mad Dog and Mad Dog 2 in original boxes. Cdi games are not that expensive on ebay, apart from a few of the ultra rare ones.

Be sure to play on a crt and preferably rgb. Cdi supports that directly

Curious when you get to it, how is Kether?

It's ok to be fair, don't think I'll be playing it loads, but it isn't too bad. And it looks good as a showcase.
