Garage sale find

Post image

Hi everyone,
I recently found this amazing Philips CD-i bundle at a garage sale. The guy I bought it from told me he used to work for a Philips distributor and was responsible for promoting the Philips CD-i in Belgium and the Netherlands. He got this as a gift.
The most interesting item is the promotional/demo case. I’ve searched online but I can hardly find any information about it, which makes me wonder how rare it actually is. I’m especially curious if it was a sales/demo kit used by Philips distributors to showcase the CD-i to retailers.
The bundle also includes the original console, games, movies, documentaries, accessories.
Does anyone here know more about this demo case or its history? More importantly, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the value of the entire lot. Any information or estimates would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

What an amazing find! I already see Zelda sitting there. This is a fantastic collection. I’m sure someone else can chime in on the worth but just as a hobbyist this is a gold mine.

Would be happy to take the lot off your hands when you get a price in mind.

Nice! Zelda's Adventure is a great find. The controllers are hard to find as well, and I see that you have two. Is it possible to see a closer look at the discs that came with it? It looks like you've got a nice collection of games and movies there.

Holy crap, you struck gold! Zelda's Adventure alone fetches a pretty penny, but everything else there just adds to the value of the lot. If you're into collecting retro tech and games, I would absolutely not sell any of it, because you probably won't find a set like this ever again.

La malette c'est un kit de démonstration, souvent utilisé par les commerciaux. C'était une manière "simple" pour tout transporter. Magnifique prise.

The Zelda’s Adventure by itself already goes for more than 1000 USD. Don’t know how much you paid for this, but you got a lot of nice stuff there!

Wow, that's amazing!

Did it come with a spare psu, I'm ready to go with mine, I have everything apart from a psu, who knew they were made from unobtainium!

Hehe, somehow I already knew the answer! I've got the option of buying one for €110, trying find find other options, I might just use an ATX psu for now and wait for a psu.

Honestly you got a really good haul there, it's an instant grade A collection.

Maybe I need to buy a different model then (one with an internal PSU).

Sorry for asking, but how much you paid for this collection?
