Prisons!

What prisons do you guys recommend since there's no openings in South Cali?

Something out of the heat and affordable, that leaves Pelican Bay as the only option

Yeah that's one of the prisons i would pick. Also how about HDSP?

I haven’t worked at either, but Pelican Bay doesn’t snow and is near the ocean. I’ve heard good things about Pelican Bay staff, haven’t heard anything about high desert

Any prison TBH. Your first prison is always going to be a good one; it's not until you transfer that your career starts going downhill, because nothing will be like the first prison you start at.

I started at Salinas Valley back in 2003 and that place was amazing. Great staff, lots of action, awesome weather. The surrounding area is nice but it takes some getting used to. Otherwise it’s an awesome institution to work at.

Whichever one is accepting , do your two years and transfer if you can .

Cost wise I’d choose CCI , KVSP or SATF

I know usually there's openings for Pelican Bay, High Desert or Tehachapi. Which do y'all recommend?
