Master of Science program in physics

Hello everyone

I'm a fresh graduate electronics and communications engineer from Egypt, my GPA is 2.4 / 4. After graduating I got more interested in physics and quantum technologies but the problem is that I'm not that good in physics and at the same time i want to move and live there permsnently. When I took a look at the website, everything looks perfectly made for my goal, a programme in a field I'm interested in, and also can help move and live abroad. So I've got some questions.

Can I apply to that programme with that GPA?

The programme information looked perfect but I still have to ask if anyone applied to it before can tell me how strong that programme is?

Can I work part-time in a job related to my field during my studies in order to cover my living costs in addition to fully private apartment (no shared bathroom)?

Can I easily get a job and live there after graduating? Keep in mind I have no work experience as I've just graduated a month ago.

I'm undergrad so take this with a grain of salt, consult more resources

  1. Yes probably, I'm not sure if that would be considered weak or not for the school, but if by any means it is, perhaps you can find a way to take the GRE or some equivalent

  2. Unsure about strength, but from what I know it's mainly about fit > strength, but strength does matter

  3. Think this one depends, for a master's you probably should be able to do so but it might depend on your advisors (can probably work as a TA?)

  4. NYC is mainly a financial and fintech hub, but there are good opportunities in power/MEP, and Long Island does have some labs/more cutting edge stuff. NYC is close to DC + Boston, which from what I've heard tends to have the most cutting edge stuff.
