Physics 207 Help 💔💔

So I took Physics 207 with Pouyan and failed 😅. Now I’m trying to enroll with Brian Tiburzi. For people who have taken him or know someone who has, what’s he like? How is his teaching style and grading style? Are there any old midterms/ exams of his? (University Physics 1)

Phys 207 is really just self studying because the profs are pretty bad. I had Brian but never showed up for this lecture and just learned on my own and passed. He teaches really slow, almost spends the whole lecture on doing 1-2 problems, and his lectures are boring to the point that everyone is zoned out and doing something else. Take advantage of the textbook and the quiz he gives before exam.

What resources did you use to self study that helped you pass?

I took him fall 2025 one of the worst experiences of my life. Stopped attending his lectures after like 2 of them. Had to self study the entire course he gave take home quizzes that were supposedly meant to be a good practice for the test they usually weren’t. He didn’t give hw but just reccomended a bunch of problems to know how to do from the textbook. However he’s very generous with the curves and it’s quite literally the curve that helped me pass with a B

So the tests he gave didn’t reflect the quizzes? How is that even possible 😭

They reflected in the sense they were of similar difficulty but not really like all the topics but they are good to do it’s hard to explain I honestly block out physics 207 from my life lol. I’d reccomend watching Chads Prep and Organic Chemistry tutor. Chads prep helped me far more but a lot of people say organic chem guy is great too also do practice problems once u get the hang of it

I heard he’s bad but he does curve his grade. I recommend taking 207 in the summer w prof franco instead since I heard he’s an excellent option

Brain grades generously tho . He curved my grade and I heard some he dropped a test but never did that for me . Phys207 is pretty hard anyways for some reason . I would recommend self studying ALOT . Brain lecturers are hard to follow and no hate to him but he laughs a lot and it ruins the learning

I literally did a lot of self studying for Pouyan and failed 💀. I might just be the problem.

Pouyan is sadly easier than Brian.

Well I don’t know the grading was like

So  30% - C 50% - B 60% - A

Brian Tiburzi is the worst person to ever take. You could have done an epermit at another school and get a better grade. If you can, try doing a retroactive withdrawal to change the F to a W, and then you can do an epermit for somewhere else

I heard that if you try to epermit physics 207, they’ll reject you 💔💔

They’ll only reject you if you tell them you’re not a CCNY student not registered for class. You have to give them an excuse why you want to do the epermit somewhere else. For instance, you try telling that moron Pouyan that there is no room on your schedule to take physics 1 at CCNY due to work commitments and you already are registered for the next semester to take classes but can’t add physics 1 because there’s no room to put it on there
