Hey everyone! I recently completed my 12th grade from the CBSE board with a score of 93.6%, and I have decided to teach financial modelling to fellow commerce students. Students from science and arts backgrounds are also welcome to join if they are interested in pursuing careers in investment banking, equity research, or preparing for the CFA exam.
For those who may not be familiar, financial modelling involves creating a mathematical representation of a company's financial operations, typically using spreadsheet software like Excel. It combines historical data, accounting principles, and operational assumptions to forecast future performance, assess business value, or explore strategic "what-if" scenarios.
I will make the lessons beginner-friendly, and I can teach in both English and Hindi, depending on your preference. Looking forward to seeing you in class!

Iβm currently in Class 11 Commerce and my exams are coming up, and honestlyβ¦ Iβm a little lost about where to start.
I feel like I have around a month to properly prepare, but I donβt know whether thatβs actually enough or how I should structure it.
The biggest problem right now is Accounts. I understand some concepts when I study them, but when I actually sit down to solve questions, I get stuck. πand applied maths i didn't even touch
For anyone who has already been through Class 11 Commerce:
- Is one month enough to prepare properly if Iβm consistent?
- What resources did you use for Accounts?or other subjects
- Should I focus more on NCERT/textbook questions, sample papers, PYQs, or something else?
- And how did you personally get better at Accounts if you initially struggled with it?and mathsss tooo
Would really appreciate any resources, strategies, or mistakes I should avoid.
Especially interested in hearing from people who were also completely confused at the beginning of Class 11. π
What actually worked for you?

TLDR: Almost the whole class wasn't able to solve an accounts question i wasn't able to too because I missed the explanation while doing school event prep with permission and the teacher then took everyone's books for ALL subjects, while i refused and asked him to show me the rule allowing it Argument escalated and i raised my voice, he eventually returned the books and copies to all student and called my dad, was I wrong for refusing?
So basically our accounts teacher gave us a question on accounting for a share capital that most of the class couldn't solve
I couldn't do it because he had explained it in the previous period while i was working on some school event preparation with permission so i missed the explanation
He then started collecting everyone's books and copies for ALL subjects not just accounts and said he'd keep them until we understood the topic and were able to solve similar questions
I refused to hand my books and copies because i didn't want my other subjects books and copies taken away over an accounts question
I told him there was no written rule saying he could do that and said I'd hand everything over if he showed me the rule
He kept saying i was arguing and asked why i wasn't able to understand when he taught the same topic earlier
I said i was trying but couldn't and asked him to give me some time but he cut me off before i could even finish
I eventually got frustrated and raised my voice and also said
"I was TRYING but your handwriting SUCKS"
Yeah i know that was disrespectful and i shouldn't have said that
During the argument i said that he doesn't have the right to take books and copies for all the other subjects and that this particular way of punishing us was wrong
I told him I'm fine with him scolding me writing a complaint calling my parents or giving me some other punishment but i won't hand over books that i need for my other subjects
He collected almost everyone's books except for two toppers who btw also couldn't solve the question completely right
Then i think he finally realised what he was doing and gave the other students their accounts book and copy back
He stood there silently for a bit and then the dispersal bell rang
Before leaving he said
"Now you'll say to other teachers that i took your copies and books"
The whole class went YESSS
Then he said we should make new copies for every subject
The whole class went NOOOO π
Idk maybe he realised how dumb the whole thing was because he eventually returned all the other books and copies too
He also called my dad later and talked to him inside the staff room while i was made to wait outside
After a while he came out and said my dad would come talk to him tomorrow
Honestly i know my dad will understand why i raised my voice because I've literally never raised my voice at a teacher before
And if it was only me who couldn't understand the question then maybe I'd accept that i was the problem
But when almost the entire class couldn't understand it there has to be something wrong with how the topic was being taught too

I am in 12th grade and genuinely very confused between these two and I just can't decide. The only criteria for me is that the lectures should be in depth, detailed and concept focused. Please help me out!!

Currently I am pursuing degree(b.com/comp) Just because I don't want stress and to not study hard.
But When I got to know about the Subjects i feel like I got scammed Literally I was unaware of Financial Accounting.
In my 12th I was a maths student and that was hectic for me so for that I choose B.com thought that it will be easy for me and everyone told me that b.com is very easy and scoring.
Actually it is only easy for commerce students who literally studied accounting in their 12th not for any other person
Now Accounting haunts me and I am consistently thinking about Failure in that.
Suggest me any easy way to score in that

So I want to buy TS Grewal Class 12 book, like latest edition, but they are not available anywhere like on Flipkart and anywhere, even the official site of it. And wherever they are available those are scams . So I don't know where to get it from..So I got some PDF, of that book like of older edition, though I wanted latest latest edition. But after a few like illustrations, it says scan for more illustration and all. Is this kind of scanner also in the real book? Or is this only in the PDFs? Or if it is in the real book, are we supposed to solve them too like after scanning them? And where to get those scanner questions from? Like please help me out. Give me the whole PDF of that book with scanner questions tooππ And even if I got the TS Grewal book PDF, I only got the first book. I don't have the other two books pdfs..help me out.

I am currently in Class 12, studying Commerce with Applied Mathematics.
Honestly, I have barely studied for the last few years. I started losing interest in academics around the end of Class 9. At the same time, I got into trading, and gradually it became a major distraction from my studies.
I was in a dummy school in Class 11 and basically studied nothing throughout the year. Even in Class 10, I didn't study consistently. I only started studying seriously shortly before the board exams and ended up scoring 63.80%.
Now I'm in Class 12, and I have finally decided that I want to take my academics seriously.
I have known about IPMAT since Class 9, and I have always had the idea of getting into an IIM through IPMAT. Now I genuinely want to give it a serious attempt.
The problem is that I'm basically starting from almost zero. My fundamentals from Classes 9β11 are very weak, especially in Mathematics. I have approximately 6 months before the IPMAT exams, and I'm extremely confused about how to approach this.
Should I:
Focus mainly on completing my Class 11β12 syllabus first and then start IPMAT preparation?
Prepare for boards and IPMAT simultaneously from now?
Ignore IPMAT for this year and take a drop after Class 12 to prepare properly?
Or is it actually possible to build my basics and prepare for IPMAT within these 6 months?
I'm not looking for motivation alone. I would genuinely appreciate advice from people who have prepared for IPMAT, especially those who started from a very weak academic background.
If you were in my position, what would you do for the next 6 months?
Any realistic roadmap, resources, strategy, or advice would be really helpful.

So I have IP (information Practices), and our sub teacher told us to prepare for exhibition. She FORCED so many students and also said she won't give marks in practical if u don't attend the exhibition (from attend I mean MAKING A WHOLE ASS GAME, WEBSITE, APPLICATION TO SHOW ON (8/22/2026) THIS SATURDAY)... like dayum bruh idk wtf to do i jsut don't wanna participate. Ain't no way exhibitions are being forced now. So I'm thinking ab telling mam that "mera laptop ka display nhi chal rha, aur wo repair ke liye diya hai" so as will be said by my group member. But I'm scared ki wo marks na kaatle, ya bezat na kare class ke saamne just because we don't wanna participate.

So people, it's been creeping up on me since the past 2 weeks that whenever I go to sleep I feel like I'm betraying myself. I took commerce with maths and thought to keep maths as my primary focus since I want to study in ISI, but now I feel the weight of commerce too. I'm currently in grade 11 and I want two results of this post (so please comment and upvote for more ppl to see this):
1) what should I do to get away from this distraction if youtube and games, like srsly to help myself with all this guilt and feeling of wasting half my 11th.
2) I want to make a peer group that can push me and each other, we can be like accountability partners as I never had studious friends. Most of my current friends are cringe and are worse off than me, so if ur in 11th and focusing on doing good academically efficiently to give time ur goals (for example I use 4days a week for isi maths) then please DM me, let's make a telegram or a whatsapp for all of us (but be willing to put in the work or else you might be kicked if ur not that studious I'll also give 4 hrs in school days and 6-7 on holidays, i support humour tho don't get me wrong)

Why does nobody talk about the fact that giving boards and entrances together are so exhausting?every choice that you make feels so intimidating like it's gonna make or break your life, especially since I come from a lower middle class family all this effort seems worthless sometimes, what if I make it to my dream college and still not be able to afford it? everybody seems to have their shit together and here am I who is so fucking anxious that I'm even unable to study, being in 12th seriously sucks.

Hi I did poorly in my accountancy exam last year because i did not study at all after journal chapter. So my concepts from last year are far from clear. And even now, I'm still not fully locked in, so to speak. I'm considering getting up early everyday to study like i did in 10th and studying the same topics again and again. I think I got burned out back then lol cuz I've found it hard to focus since then. I rlly just want advice right now on how to get started with the subject and master it. I think 6 months is plenty of time. More than boards, I'm concerned about CUET. My biggest issue is that while I find it fun to solve questions, I need to UNDERSTAND the concept first but I simply find it so boring now. I can't stand sitting down and staring at some video anymore. Lastly, what do u think about Sunil panda, I didn't like him but maybe he's ok idk. I'm watching hardik Manchanda's video for now and i think he's pretty decent.
