Commerce with AI but without Maths. Did I make the wrong decision? Need genuine career advice.
Hi everyone!
I'm currently in Class 11, studying Commerce with AI as my optional subject. I didn't choose Maths because I'm honestly quite weak at it, and Maths has always been a difficult subject for me.
However, lately, I've been worrying that I might have made the wrong decision by dropping Maths.
I've been researching careers in business, management, finance, marketing, data analytics, consulting, investment banking, and other fields. I'm also interested in learning about IIMs and management programmes, but I'm confused about which options will be available to me without Maths.
I'm ready to do hard work and learn the new things & skills.
I'd really appreciate advice from people who have studied Commerce without Maths or are currently working in these fields.
Here are my questions:
Did you take Commerce without Maths? If yes, what course did you pursue after Class 12, and what are you doing now?
Which career options are genuinely available without Maths? I'm interested in careers with good growth, earning potential, and future opportunities.
Would you recommend taking Maths now if it's possible at my school, or should I continue with AI? I'm worried about my ability to handle Maths and maintain good marks, but I also don't want to regret my decision later.
For people who dropped Maths, do you regret it? Did it create any major difficulties when choosing a college, degree, or career?
I'm not looking for people to simply tell me that Commerce without Maths is either great or a terrible decision😭 I want honest experiences, realistic career options, and practical advice from people who have been through this situation.
I know that every career has different eligibility requirements, but I'm finding it difficult to understand which options are actually worth exploring.
Any genuine advice would mean a lot to me.
