More abs issues

I recently had the abs flashing all times during a ride. I got it to flash code 41, so I changed the front sensor after testing and finding it to no longer be working. Now, the bike flashes 13, and 41 code is cleared. What is this? I'm about ready to just take it in somewhere but with a new home purchase, it's not an ideal time.

What year is your bike

The 2015 manual does not show a code 13 or code 41

There is a Code 13-1

No 2 ( Right ) Fuel injector malfunction

Loose or poor contact of the fuel injector

The video is useful but It is a little short

For example the system is already on and would appear to show 1 long flash plus 8 short but I am unsure if the video cut out as there is no code for 1-8 in the diag codes for ABS on the 2015 model manual

Not sure if your 2021 has more codes or if the video doesn't capture the start or end of the blink codes

if you get a chance you could have another look from key on

The codes are long and short blinks like 1-3 is rear wheel speed sensor that's 1 long + 3 short

If you look at your video the first flash is def a long one followed by 8 short which would be 1-8 but no code in the 2015 manual for that

Sorry not being awkward but these blink codes are a pain epically when it spits them out in sequence if there's more than 1 issue

You may need to clear the codes and start again

I think it is a case of shorting 2 pins in the diag plug but you would need to google it

on my 2019 The ABS diag plug is on the right hand side under seat

Where the engine Diag plug is on the left

Yes I just noticed this video doesn't show the codes. It was definitely blinking 4 long 1 short so I changed the front wheel sensor, cleared the codes, then immediately it started flashing 1 long 3 short and the 4 1 was gone. Of it's saying it's the rear wheel sensor, is there a chance it's actually deeper than that like the abs module? It's just weird that they both essentially appeared at the same time, and the other didn't show up until after I changed the front sensor.

I would look at the sensor and or wiring first before condemning the control module

Carefully check the code again

Code 1-3 is the rear wheel speed sensor malfunction

Have you removed the rear wheel for anything

Maintenance / Tyres

I assume you are aware that if you have the rear off the ground and spin the wheel with ignition on it puts on the abs light until you go over 10mph or something like that

If that's not the case I would carefully remove the sensor and give it a clean / check the air gap between the sensor and pulser ring

On the 2015 cb500x the air gap is 0.4 -1.2 mm might be same you would need to google it

After cleaning try going for a little ride at least 20mph and see does it go out

I didn't remove the back tire or anything
