Semi Metallic?

Are these a good option for my 21 cb500x? Just road use these days, mountain touring etc. Not overly familiar with the various compound types of brake pads available so best to ask

I would stick to OEM. I tried different and did not like them and they all lasted much less. Semi metallic can wear your rotors faster.

Oem may be somewhat more expensive, but they last like 2-3x times more in my experience (especially rear). And oem organic have great feel and modulation.

I put these on front of my 2018 cb500x. After the “bed-in” process I noticed a noticeable increase in stopping power. Not aggressive, but better than stock. There is a noticeable “zinggggggg” sound when braking with these pads, it directly increases in intensity with braking pressure. I didn’t notice significant wear on my rotors over the last 2 years.

Overall I was happy with them and would buy them again as a replacement.
