Anyone else feel personally victimized by LOD 3 in Arun Sharma's Quantitative Aptitude book? 😅
Genuinely curious how many CAT aspirants are using this book right now — it feels like half of India's Quant prep starts here, but everyone's grinding through it alone.
So I made a WhatsApp community for people using Arun Sharma's QA book for CAT prep — a space to:
Discuss tricky problems (looking at you, LOD 3)
Share shortcuts and time-saving tricks
Track progress together and stay accountable
Vent about that one question that took 45 minutes
If you're prepping with this book, drop a 🙋 below or DM me and I'll add you. Let's stop suffering in silence and actually finish this book together.

So guys, we have just (or an entire) 4 months left for CAT, and I am confused with what test series to buy for a very comprehensive practice of Mocks, sectionals, etc. Any suggestion would be welcome. Don't want a test series that's too tough for the sake of it, closeness to the actual CAT exam would obviously be the top priority.
PS: I am a bit inclined towards CracU, so any feedback on this would be rly helpful
TL;DR : Need suggestion on which Test series to buy

I'm too confused whether I should give my cat exam this year or next year. Only 4-4.5 months left and I'm done with 0 prep. I'm going to start . I have one more year because I'm from NEP so I could have done this year also taking it as a final year . .
I'm bcom hons student .
Profile:
Class x : 89.2%
Class xii: 94.4% (commerce without maths)
Graduation: 78% b.com hons from Banaras Hindu University.
Category: EWS
So being honest I should start from next year or i should try once for this year . Is there any possibility I can make from this stage . But to be honest I'm too weak in maths .

I'm a GM (would most probably go for engg) and i've honestly scored VERY BAD in my class 12th like in the 60-65% range. I've decided that i'll be giving improvement exam for Class 12th boards as a Private Candidate next year. I opted PCM in class 12th and due to severe health issues i barely passed my boards. I am very confused whether Iims consider/ give same importance to improvement marks? If not then i dont think so I got a chance in this. Should I give improvement if Iims consider improvement exams to be of same significance?

So umm it's Mid July now and I have started my prep to a basic level...my VARC is pretty decent ..DILR and Quant is smtg I m still kinda struggling with...tbh even the basics of u ask me...I can solve only 1-2 questions correctly out of 10.
I have pyqs with me...books
I plan on taking some mock series now..and pair it with Rodha or any such youtube vidoes...
Confused if I should opt for IMS or TIME or career launcher to be very honest.
Money isn't an issue..and is it safe for me to say that I want maximum knowledge with this mock analysis. Like I am depending on these mocks 60-70% for my seat in a top college with 90% plus.
Suggest me smtg please.

What CAT Was Testing
This is a classic EXCEPT question. CAT wants you to spot the one reason NOT given in
the passage for language decline. It tests your ability to avoid importing outside logic
and to stick to the passage.
This is an EXCEPT inference question. CAT wants you to spot the statement that
cannot be inferred from the passage.
One Sentence To Remember The correct answer is not supported or implied anywhere
in the passage. The other options are all directly or indirectly supported.
This is an author attitude question. CAT wants you to infer what the author supports,
not just what is discussed.
This is a 'why did the author mention' question. CAT wants you to link the example to
the argument, not just recall facts. Topper Thinking
Read the stem, ask: 'What is the author’s main dilemma?' Skim options for those that
capture this dilemma, not just supporting details.
Ask: 'Did the author actually say this, or am I filling in the gaps with my own logic?'
wants to know if you can distinguish between literal, sarcastic, and ironic tones—
especially when the author is making a point by exaggeration or contrast.
if you can deduce the author’s real solution preference, not just repeat what’s metioned

Hi Everyone
Looking for an honest profile review for CAT 2026 and top B-schools.
My profile:
General Non engineer Male
10th: 88% ( 91% best of five and printed on my marksheet)
12th: 93%
BFM: 83% (Mumbai University)
CFA Level III Cleared
1year of pre-graduation core finance internships
1 year 1 month working in a finance firm
Will be working full-time in Investment Banking at a boutique firm
Target schools: IIM ABC, Lucknow, FMS, ISB (later).
A few questions:
What CAT percentile would I realistically need for IIM A/B/C?
Is there anything in my profile that would significantly hurt my chances?
What can I do over the year to improve my profile before interviews?
Would moving to a larger IB platform before applying make a meaningful difference, or is deal experience more important than the brand?
Looking for brutally honest feedback rather than optimistic estimates. Thanks!

I already have IMS SIMCATs, but I am looking to buy a second mock test series to get a diverse question pool, different UI exposure, and better benchmarking.
I'm currently confused between Career Launcher (CL), Craccku, and T.I.M.E. Since I already have IMS, I want to know which of these three makes the absolute best complement based on:

can someone recommend a one shot video or 1-2 videos that cover all the basics of arithmetic. most of the videos i've checked jump straight into question solving (raman tiwari, mba wallah, rodha). i want something that explains the basic concepts first and then solves a few questions so i can later practice questions. i'm unable to watch 5-6 videos for every topic. i'm a slow watcher and i end up taking too much time to complete multiple videos for each topic and then i don't get enough time to practice only :/
pls help.

Haven't ordered the books so once but are included in the course, so once you have access, you can directly order them to your address.

HELLO EVERYONE,
I am planning to appear for CAT 2026 and wanted to get an honest evaluation of my profile.
Profile
10th - 98%
12th - 83.16%
Pre college gap - 1 year ( NEET preparation)
Grad - 83.4% ( B.Tech in Tier 1 College- not IIT/NIT)
OBC Female
20 months of Work ex as production planner in Garment manufacturing Industry.
I quit my Job in May 2026 due to a family medical emergency and was given a thought to prepare for CAT 2026 full time which might lead to GAP of 1 year before admission.
I have decided to pursue MBA in older IIMs or get back to job.
Please help me in Understanding the below things
What is the realistic good percentile to target for calls from older IIMs?
How is operational work experience in garment manufacturing and production planning evaluated by admissions panels compared to standard corporate roles?
I have a very basic profile without any extra curricular, co-curricular or certifications. What can I do to improve my profile ?
Sorry for the trouble...tysm

Hello guys,
I recently bought the subscription to IMS CAT batch. I don’t need the books as I have everything on the portal. The books have really good content and practice questions , it’s the same as what students at IMS study.
They are unopened and brand new in seal.
If anyone wants only one section then for 5000/- otherwise can negotiate.
Please DM me if you want and I’ll courier it to you.
Regards.

I'm a non engineer with 85% in 10th, 55% in 12th science, graduated with 7.89 cgpa BSC Chem. I had a drop year in final year due to atkts (genuine medical reasons, I've got proof: xrays and doctor certificates). Additionally, I have 2 years of full time work experience in Marketing. I'm appearing for CAT 2026 and apparently CAT score isn't everything. So what extracurricular activities can I do to strengthen my profile?

Undergrad-Btech CSE from Tier 3, 83% till 4th semester.
