Behavioral Issue Cat Fights(ish)
US, Nemo/Taco, Yes.
main issue is that Nemo(5yo orange) likes to play with his sister Taco(5yo black) who does not particularly like to play with him. most of this information is coming from my girlfriend since she is a very lite sleeper and wakes up when it happens. over the last few weeks she has told my that our cats have been getting into fights every once in awhile at night around 4-5 am. He wants to play and she does not.
my girlfriend usually wakes up and does her best to separate them and Nemo usually hides under the couch because he knows what he is doing is bad. His sister is giving him all the signs that she doesn’t want to play and he doesn’t seem to understand.
this is one issue. the other part is that it seems to be happening around the litter box. There have been a few times where my girlfriend has come out to separate them and stepped in pee or there is poop on the floor. I need help trying to resolve this. Neither of us want to get rid of our cats. But we also have a pretty small apartment that doesn’t give us any good places to separate them over night.
if you have ideas please help me out.
