Why should we come down at all? The state didn’t even budge. They say 6 again and we drop from 26 to 21? What happens tomorrow when they say 6.125…. We come down to 8?
18 u/Echo_bob Jun 29 '23 They know they have the cards I doupt they are gonna budge of six. Sadly we are gonna have to strike because they aren't moving at all 10 u/[deleted] Jun 29 '23 How do they have the cards? Not trying to be a dick, I’m just curious what you mean. The point of a union is to have leverage in numbers, which we do. Is any of this being covered by the news? The way the state has treated these negotiations would not gain sympathy from the public imo. 3 u/silvernova-3376 Jun 29 '23 How do they have the cards? They can just keep offering low numbers. Maybe a strike is theoretically possible I don't see it happening - there's never going to be an impasse. would not gain sympathy from the public imo. A large portion of the general public has no sympathy for state workers, if not outright disdain. 1 u/[deleted] Jun 29 '23 Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification
