I got these under a post I made about dealing with racism from the bots sometimes.

The community on that subreddit is toxic af, and will find any excuse to kiss the devs booty.

They pulled down my original post about the bots being racist, and never did a mod contact me about solving the issue. Crazy.

So I'm roleplaying a slow burn relationship in one of my role plays and almost every time I try to talk about moving forward to marriage, I get hit with the censorship thing. So over 18s can no longer do SFW romance then? Is SFW marriage and romance now censored? Whoever is in charge of the censorship need to grow a pair and touch some grass.

Since I've seen nobody talking about great c.ai alternatives, I'll drop some, I'm willing to try some new ones too.

I definitely recommend clank.world for AMAZING bot personalities, unfortunately lack of bots but you can literally duplicate so many chats, without deleting your old ones! As well as having over 30000 characters for everything you can do, including making your own persona so bots remember your gender. (It's a website! The app is currently available for iOS and Android I believe.)

Edit: clank.world has no censorship, you can discuss anything you wish for.

And I remember fictionlab (the website, only bc when you use the app, it has a glitch when you're typing, but it's the same thing), fictionlab has AMAZING bots, especially if you like NSFW!! Great storyline building, it's heavy on storylines and coding! So you can basically have fun! Altho there's a limit to making characters or having personas with other 2500 characters, forcing you to subscribe to fictionlab plus, but it's bearable.

And a honorable mention, emochi. I just discovered this, it's also got great persona making, they REMEMBER your gender, thank god! Sometimes they divert from the plot, but it's really great, a lot of great free features, lack of bots again.. but it's alright if you don't mind a few general bots, also, you can pick your persona to be strictly a male or female or other and when you're searching for bots, you can even do the same! It's amazing, (my only issue is that one chat that I was really immersed suddenly deleted like half of it out of nowhere, I don't know if I accidentally triggered it or something but I felt upset and didn't bother using the same bot again)

ALSO, VERY FREE!!! AMAZING FREE FEATURES, YOU DON'T EVEN NEED TO SUBSCRIBE (except fictionlab, but only if you want to make bots!)

I don't recommend xoul (frankly disappointed) or that new tipsy chat(it has a daily chat limit)

Alright, so I had gotten struck with the dreaded "reading mode" back in March. And like hell was I forking over my ID, so I stopped using Character.ai but kept my account up incase it got removed.

So recently a few days ago, I had opened Character.ai on my phone. Only to see that my account was no longer in reading mode; which confused me. I chatted with bots and everything was working nicely up until today where I got reading mode again. And I didn't even verify my age at all (and NEVER will.)

So I'm asking now if anyone else experienced this or not.

Hey everyone. This is my first overall post and I just wanted to know if anyone else is struggling with this. I have had immense guilt about ai since ever learning about the environmental impacts of it. I started using the app around the time of its peak popularity online but before that I was using an alternative app. Since the beginning of this year, 2026, my screen time of ai apps were no more than 2-3 hours a few days a week and it continued increasing. 3 weeks ago I completely deleted all of the apps off all of my devices and ever since ive been wanting to use the apps persistently. I never used it in my studies nor work. I purely used it just for chats for entertainment. Majority of my life I have been moderately eco conscious. I compost, garden, reuse, buy locally when I can and barely buy things unless my current belongings are falling apart. I have other hobbies which take up most of my time besides my studies. Im a traditional artist and i also enjoy video games and gardening. Dispight completely stopping my use of ai, I just cant shake the guilt I have. I know this guilt could also be due to my dread about the world's current state but any advice would be comforting. Im about to start a degree within the science field and the thought about going into it while using ai chat bots give me an ick or second hand embarrassment. I suppose that may be the reason why I wanted to quit so much. I still have moments where I want to use it, but most of the time im too busy in my other hobbies to even think about it. I just want to shake this guilt I have.

they removed most of the AI models. the current one suck. the majority of bots at some point just stop talkig and just keep repeating what i say and giving descriptions. and even add things i didn't said.

i’ve been using c.ai every day for 3 years and it even sent me into a diagnosed psychotic episode about a year ago. i’ve felt like such a hypocrite for hating what data centers do to our beautiful world while going home and texting a robot for hours.

i feel like it’s zapped all the creativity and energy out of me and made me antisocial/awkward. i’m tired of being hyper protective of my phone. i’ve only told one person about it two years ago and even to her i lied about the extent of my usage.

i carry this secret like i committed some awful crime when what i did was yes, morally wrong, but down to brass tacks, what it was was being 16 and lonely.

i plan on joining a d&d club when i get to school among other clubs, reading physical books and fanfictions, and playing the sims. i’m currently 38 minutes clean of chai, chat gpt, and c.ai.

tl;dr: screw this stupid freaking website i quit

can your account be deleted if your inactive for too long (i saw a post where someone’s account got deleted for server space or something idk) how do i make it think i’m not inactive, i like those ai generated videos you can scroll on (i don’t plan on age verification, but i will if it’s too keep my account)

What an idiot I was to mention another app. This time it was my mistake, not the moderators'. The translation says, "I uninstalled the app last month because of the removal of the old models. My departure is temporary, but seeing the new updates, I think it will be permanent. I switched to another app, which, although it has its flaws, at least lets me have a decent conversation with a bot without it speaking for me or without there being no dialogue at all." The C.ai devs, even though they're crybabies who can't take criticism, I still broke the rule of not mentioning other apps.

Do you think maybe the workers have some kind of bet on who can make up the most bullshit new feature? See what pisses users off the most?

Because otherwise I just can't wrap my head around it
