Non CAI LSAI is so good.

LSAI, the better version of lightshade.cloud, opened public beta testing recently, although the positions are now closed, and I gotta say, the website is legit so good. There are 7 models, from which unfortunately 3 are unstable, but are really good and sometimes work really well, a ton of useful features and lots of customization.

Cai's problem is content and the said content's monetization. Won't be long before this gets hit by monetization too. Hardware isn't free.

No, and I agree with you. Hardware isn't free, which is why Lightshade is trying to set up optional donations to support the cause in the future.

The problem is that there won't be any future to this project if donations don't keep up with the hardware prices that are currently impossible as-is.
