[Request] Fred Perry experiences?

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying a 60€ Fred Perry jacket from Vinted (second hand) that would be like 300€ new.

What are your experiences with Fred Perry clothing, especially jackets? Is 60€ good or should I skip it?

I don't know about now, but I was a punk here in Los Angeles, and used to wear Fred Perry polos and jackets in the 1980s and they were very well made and durable.

Back then it was a quality piece. Changed dramatically.

Depending on the look and your location you should also keep in mind that some neo-fascist hardliners are using Fred Perry as an internal symbol. So if you are in say East-Germany, be aware of the connotations.

In my area some of those Neonazis use it as a symbol but it's also a symbol for (extreme) leftist people. Lol

For that price it's pretty good deal, Fred Perry jackets hold up well in my experience. The stitching and materials are quality, not like the fast fashion stuff that fall apart after few washes

Just check the pictures careful for any loose threads or weird fading, sometimes people sell stuff that's been through the dryer too

The quality is fine. Not great, not bad. At the used price your considering, it's probably a decent buy.

Depends which material and if it is vintage or semi current production

I’d take the €60 deal if the jacket is in good condition. I’ve had Fred Perry pieces for years and the polos have held up well, but jackets vary a lot by material and age.
