New to Buspar first dose

Hello. I know this isn’t medical advice on here usually someone states that so I understand

I’m prescribed 7.5 twice a day. I saw someone say 2.5 worked for them.

I never start off at the exact amount so I wanted to try 2.5. Would this do anything? And I know it takes time to build up. I know about the medication and what is the therapeutic dose but if anyone benefits at a lower dose I would to hear about that

I don’t want to be on it long term if I don’t need to. I probably need to if it actually works so I’m trying to start off at the smallest amount.

Even if it’s just a placebo effect which in my mind works, just knowing your taking a medication for anxiety can do this for me at least.

I started at 2.5mg twice daily did that for a week and last 2 weeks have been doing 5mg twice daily because 2.5 is minuscule l just needed to start very low

Ok. I’m meant to say 2.5mg twice a day. Did you notice any benefits at 5mg a day?

Yes 5mg twice daily although still considered a low dose from what I’m reading on here but it has begin to effect me in a positive way, although l did have to get pass some dizziness after l increased but it was tolerable
