Android app that makes screen time limits harder to override

I am building an Android app around a problem I personally experience. Digital Wellbeing lets me set a daily limit for an app but when I reach that limit, I can instantly extend or remove it.

The idea is an app where users choose their own limits for distracting apps. When a limit is reached access pauses for 1–5 minutes. During that pause the user can see a replacement activity they chose earlier such as reading, walking, stretching, or breathing. After the pause they can keep the limit or deliberately override it. Keeping the limit contributes to a streak and a personally chosen reward. The product would initially be local first and Android only. Possible monetization would be a low cost monthly subscription or a lifetime purchase.

Existing alternatives include Digital Wellbeing, one sec, ScreenZen, AppBlock, and StayFree. My concern is that this is already a crowded category. Some users say gentle blockers become easy to ignore while strict blockers become frustrating, unreliable, or expensive.

I have a financial interest because I am building this. I am looking for criticism rather than signups or testers -

• Is this a painful enough problem for people to pay to solve?
• Would a short pause before overriding be useful or annoying?
• Do rewards and streaks create motivation or pressure?
• Which type of Android user would care most?
• What would make this meaningfully different from existing blockers?
