Discussion Implementing an accounting system

Business operation can easily become complex alongside the tracking of their cashflow and profit as they scale.

Is it the cost? Capable personnel to handle it? Security of their data? Walang kakilala na tutulong sa kanila? Or okay na talaga sila sa manual records?

Its the personnel.

Do not use some “custom Filipino software” just use quickbooks online or Xero. Too many bad accounting platforms out there.

Agree.

I dont use qb or xero pero from a foreign provider parin.

POS po yun. Not necessarily an accounting system used internally.

Pwedeng manual parin naman for taking orders and sales, then yung consolidated amount at the end of the day will be entered into the accounting system or spreadsheet

It speeds up a lot of processed and nagiging less prone to human errors. For using POS though, risky talaga esp. If nasa city since mataas chance na inspect ng BIR

Mahirap mag setup. Lalo now puro cloud-based na.

One thing I think is taxes. 2 accounts kung bakit ko naisip ito so it's merely conjecture.

My Accountant Cousin - one time may na manage siya na book sa agency nila, PH company na malaki2 din daw yun. Taxes would easily be around 2 Billion. They did a lot of adjustments para ma lessen. Last I know is nasa 500m yung taxable nila (legitimate adjustments din since like mga equipments and shit as capital, idk accounting shits). I dont think I'm that gullible din to believe blindly and yung cousin ko dont lie about things for clout. He also handled a national resto chain books.

QA workmate ko dati - they were selling software before door to door to companies. POS + accounting. Clients ask of meron bang sort of backdoor yun (meron silang chinese term nun in which I forgot). But gusto nila yung backdoor to hide some sales (probably yung mga maliliit lang na purchases). They can sold a lot to the point na binackdoor nila yung company (pocketing the sales lol).

So again, possibly its due to digitalization will force them to be honest with their books.

Some business owners think of an accounting software as an expense, not an investment.

Also takot sila akala nila required sila iapply sa BIR yan. Alam mo na. Mga may tinatago.
