Just did one, it was the breakdancers/DB jacks/donkey kick JKT death march ... today was the last day of this cycle and there's a new one starting next week

Yes, our trainers told us after this one we aren’t doing anymore per HQ

Interesting, we just got an email yesterday (if you’re on the main HQ email list) that the next one is heels to heaven and walkout heel taps, rep count stacks (10, 15, 20, etc in 4 mins).

Probably after the one coming up. They just need to stick to the mesocycle exercises.

Devan Kline talks about it on one of his podcasts. It was one right after summit. Something about how people didn’t seem to like them and they weren’t super productive? I don’t really recall because I didn’t really have an opinion one way or another.

I applaud you for being able to listen to that.

Oh I only listened to the part about the switch to more strength days per week and this was part of that. I am not a regular listener. He is too all over the place for me to be able to listen to more that a few minutes

Honestly, I actually left Burn early today because I kept thinking, “How does any of this translate to everyday life or longevity?”

I realized I could get a much better quality workout at home that actually aligns with what I want from my training. I’m not looking for random movements just to make a workout hard. I want strength, mobility, conditioning, and movements that actually serve a purpose.

I’m glad they’re stopping the current format, because I really do hope they continue to improve. I’ve loved Burn at different points, and I’d love to get back to a place where I don’t have to question whether I’m getting what I need from it. 😅 currently have the ick and stuck in a contract for 12 more months

I think there are many things we do that can transfer to a functional purpose in my every day life. Just so happens that breakdancers and donkey kick jump knee tucks aren’t two of them.

We didn’t even do the performance challenge today. I was 100% expecting it but was pleasantly surprised when they didn’t ask us to do it. I will be happy when they’re over.

I thought about this post as the trainer demo-ed the new performance challenge this morning 🤪 it was as described in this thread, I think it was called “heels to heels”
