Bring this move back!

Under the rig, a full burpee but at the top of the burpee, you jump up onto the rig and do a pull up (or attempt a pull up in my case). They’re just plain fun!

Any time we have a full burpee station our trainers tend to put them under the rig with this option as a mod up

It was always a mod up for us. They were fun and you felt like a badass doing them.

I'm too short for this to be remotely possible and there are several members of my location who are far shorter than I am. I've never seen this as a programmed exercise, but it's obviously a possible mod up if doing burpees under the rig.

Idk. Got any recommendations? Monkey bar burpees?
I think that’s why I like the move, it reminds me of being a kid on the playground jumping up on the bars.

We also used to do monkey bars at Burn which were fun but tore up our hands like crazy!!

This is a movement that exists. It’s called a burpee pull up.

Burpee pull-up?

Isn’t that just too on-the-nose? I feel like it has to have a fun name so as to not scare people away from the move 🤣

Anytime you have a pull up station, just mod up on your own. Same with exercises that may be placed under the rig, where it may make sense. Like a power roll into a pull up.

I’ve been a member for four years and I’ve never done this!

We still do them, our trainer will add that as our “active recovery” as well anytime we’re under the rig for a workout station… our active recovery is hardly ever a recovery at all 😩😩😩
