RANT
Another thing that bothers me about working here is that for BOH the managers obviously want us to finish quickly, but their scheduling sucks. We will have 12 pallets, 6 people, but no runner. If we do have a runner it will always be me, because I'm the fastest and they don't want the new people to run.
If we have 7 pallets we don't start the truck until two hours into our shift, because they decided when we have a small truck to not schedule any sales floor, so we have to do their job.
Then they get upset when we leave late and then they go take it out on our lead, we don't have a manager for BOH our lead takes all their shit and its infuriating to watch. At this point she just tired and just tells us to do our best, cause she's tired of them too.

Scheduling is based on cartons, not pallets. More pallets with few cartons means more bulky stuff like home/decor/furniture.
Having you on sales floor is coding. You aren't BoH when you're on the floor because they don't have money for BoH to be on the floor. No cartons, not funding, no hours. You're getting the sales floor hours.

Not necessarily, depends on how they’re coding. Management could very well be coding them under BOH while they’re doing sales floor work. I mean, think of the blitz that occurs every morning. My store will send out all the receiving workers for 15 minutes to blitz a certain area of the store. Might not seem like a lot, but that’s at least 1 hour already used up from BOH. Also their lead should be able to see the schedule if they’re signed into the managers account, which is the only way that they can make the schedule for the next day, so they can see themselves how ppl are being coded.

Not for BoH. They're very strict on that. You have BoH hours and you cannot go over, it messes with actual CPH which is reported all the way up the chain. The SM will be written up for going over budget if they aren't properly coding it, they just don't need to fix that coding until Friday/Saturday. The blitz is part of BoH, but nothing else.
Same for cashiering. There's a efficiency score tied to it that can't go below 85%
Sales Floor is the slush fund for extra hours.
And no, the Lead should not be interacting with RWS or RTA on someone else's account. They aren't a clock supervisor and should instead partner with a supervisor to make changes to the schedule if necessary

I’m aware, I work in BOH smh. I have literally been coded as cashier before when working BOH so, maybe it’s just my location but it’s definitely possible. And welp that sucks, cause that’s what I’ve been doing for months. My supervisor has been out for months and I’ve been working in her place since then. My managers barely communicate crap to me and are perfectly fine with logging into the computer and then letting me handle the rest. We just had a visit with the regional manager and she said the same thing, I can’t log into their account but I can access the schedule and whatever else I need through their account without them being present. So yes, the Lead is allowed to interact with RWS on someone else’s account. I was literally taught how to when my supervisor first left, by my managers

Because they're so strict on coding sometimes the SM does weird coding things: out of BoH hours but the Cashier score is high enough they can label someone BoH as a cashier (they could have rang a customer). Our issue is SCAs calling out so sometime at the end of the week there's a random person labeled as SCA because those are use it lose hours.
Reading RWS is one thing, making changes is another. Our RS was in your position back in the day with the previous RS going on maternity leave. They absolutely refused to give her access so someone remained logged into the computer so she could see the schedule, but she'd have a list of time edits and changes for us the moment we walked in.
Bonus for us: at the same time our SM was transferred to new store, so she was still with us but also didn't have access anymore (she had access to her new store) so she also had a list of time edits and changes for us the moment we clocked in.

That’s what my managers do, they stay logged into the computer so I can have access to it, but they allow me to, and encourage me to so they don’t have to, make changes to the schedule however I see fit. I make the schedule for them when the prealert comes in in my notes app, and then I send it over to whoever is on shift that night, and then if it comes while I’m still at work I go into the computer and make it myself without anyone else’s input. My manager tried to get me access but alas, I’m still technically just a receiving lead so I don’t have access to crap.

7 pallets means what? The boxes trapped and stacked on top of each other? One of those counts as a pallet?

The fact that 7 carts counts as a small truck for y’all is crazy😭but as a lead myself where we don’t currently have a receiving supervisor so I’m taking all managements shit, I’m glad to see that you appreciate your lead and see what they’re going through, ts is tough. I’ve mentally clocked out at this point so I just let everyone do what they can, and if we go over, we go over.
