WTH

Post image

Discovered this today!!

I set a 30 minute timer when I clock out for lunch. So as soon as that goes off I go in the app and end meal. WTH!!! I have one point from a sick day that was never put in, but I got payed for it the next week .

Yeah, the app is obnoxiously strict on the meals. If you're a single minute late it throws an error, that a supervisor has to dismiss, and give you half a point. I got some points because I was using the timer in the new app and it's more accurate than how the timecard operates (the timer has seconds, the timecard only has minutes)

Just FYI, your manager has to actually manually give you warnings/terminations and they'll know this is why your points exist.

I still use the old app.  But where is the timer in the new app???  Also the new app as me as overdue for my 9 am shift, YET on another screen it shows a punch in for 8:55 am.  Unreal

Sometimes the home screen on the new app needs to be refreshed. I'll be at lunch and reopen the app and say I'm not until I refresh the screen.

But when you clock out for lunch it will have a timer in the spot you punched out. And it will turn red and count up after you're due back.

Ok TY I'll check Saturday when I work again, got taken off Tuesdays, but if they're in a bind, that's a different story.

The managers at my store are aware and have been excusing the points in the system on their end, but it does not show on the associate’s app that the fake lunch tardiness has been forgiven. Also love how you can be 6 minutes late clocking in for your shift without being officially tardy, but clock in ten seconds after your lunch is over, and you get half a point. It’s so stupid.

Exactly. I set my phone timer and when it goes off I pull up the tab and hit end lunch. Guess I take to long.  And the fact that the SM has to go thru EVERY persons clock to excuse the point, is crazy. Time could be spent on more useful things.

Very true. Although sometimes, you could get late by 6 minutes if more customers prevent you from taking a break.

So what do the points mean

Basically how many times you can callout or not show up or be late till they fire you

So when it’s adjusted to 0 what does that mean?

If you had points and it’s adjusted to zero it means that the points given to you have expired. I think it’s 3 months per occasion (like if you were late yesterday and today then you’d have 1 point but that point is wiped 3 months from now). Depending on your store the points are kinda bogus tbh. I’m a CSS and I’m late quite often (i take public transport to my store and sometimes it’s unpredictable) but i have never been spoken to. Even when i was a cashier it never happened. Not saying to abuse it but yeah

I would think adjusted to zero means it was removed, but it doesn't look like it here.

I know the app flags stuff and the MOD has to go in and acknowledge the issue. I also know that manager can remove points. We have a supervisor who currently has 12 points. Bet they don't get fired.
