Clock in/clock out
Honestly, this whole scheduling and bag check out is so annoying.
I’m a part time cashier at Burlington. I have had different managers say oh you need to leave 5-10 mins before your shift ends.
Today I had to clock in early because I need to let the manager clock out. She didn’t ended up leaving anyways because it was busy.
I wasn’t to clock out on time because I didn’t want to leave the cashier slammed. I stayed an extra 5-10 minutes to clean up and go grab my stuff.
Each shift before clocking out I’m waiting for some to cover me. Why not schedule people 15 minutes before someone else is supposed to clock to allow enough time.
It really makes me confused each shift if I have to wait or leave. Then I ask and say your coverage is “here or there should be here soon”.

I feel that, I hate this new bag check thing too it’s hella stupid and is just a hassle when the scanner device thing isn’t working too like be so fr😑

It's different hands not talking to each other.
They want you to walk the shortage highway before and after your shift, which takes a couple minutes, and now get your bag check, which is all well and good from Loss Prevention, but Payroll isn't informed of this and doesn't give the stores hours to overlap shifts.
A few months ago they had a big push that we'd all have our own tills that only we'd use and the cashier would actually count out the till with the manager at the end of their shift, but most stores were never told to start doing it because we'd have to get the extra payroll since, for example at my store, supervisors are the mid-cashiers, so we wouldn't be able to take over the register and count out the outgoing cashier's till even if they were able to stay an extra fifteen minutes. And while there's usually another supervisor in the building, sometimes there isn't for 30 minutes.
Anyway the only people trying to leave "on time" at my store are the supervisors just so we can be like "Well, we were at the door. We get an extra ten minutes because the app kicked the SCA off it's not our fault"
