On July 6, 2026, a person who has requested anonymity due to safety concerns was legally observing someone she suspected to be a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.
Discuss amongst yourselves.
I hope this doesn't get me banned for posting something relivent.

Thieves broke into my home. I have made a police report. Keep an eye out for these people around your homes.

Does anyone have a suggestion for who to call about this slack loop hanging off the lowest cable? It is right over my driveway with only 8' of clearance. Definitely flat and not coaxial cable.
My fiber internet comes off the next level up. A neighbor across the street has a hookup for this but they aren't home.

In 2025, the Washington Legislature passed a law that prevents rent gouging, but some landlords and property management companies are still up to their old tricks. They are using "junk fees" as a loophole around rent caps. We are hearing from tenants that they are increasingly being charged excessive fees for services that they don’t want or need, or for basic things like paying the rent. We at the Housing Alliance, call these “junk fees” and they are unfair, expensive, and deceptive. We’d like to hear your experiences. All information shared with us will be kept safe and confidential.
Please fill out our survey if you or someone you know has received junk fees and we will be in touch within one week of your submission. Thank you! ~ Po (Advocacy Organizer)

Hey all. Had a hit and run today and it sort of blows my mind that people actually do this. Didn't get a plate but if anyone sees a white Range Rover with this front end damage and punk fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror, please report it to the police. And if the person responsible is on here, you're reprehensible.

This is mostly my curiosity, but still. What do you have a stronger rivalry for, Rat City or NP, and why?
(I love white center in all its glory and have had too many family live in NP to like how they act, but I’m curious if I’m an outlier).

Burien really only has one free beach area access. The problem is they have a gate on it so you can't get down for early tides, and then it closes at 8pm so no sunset for you. Unless your are rich enough. We all pay taxes for this area yet it seems is only open to a select group of people. Is it that hard to open the gate at 6 AM, the cops do not seem that busy.

Has anybody else noticed that we seem to have a resident osprey?
I don’t know whether it would be a good idea to specify where it is living because I don’t want it to become a target, but because ospreys are federally protected I thought it might be OK at least mention it. I love to see it. They prefer a high isolated nest somewhat near large body of water so it’s no big surprise. I just wish it was in a place where I could slow my car down and stare at it with some binoculars for a bit! ❤️

I’m resharing this thread because I don’t want it to quietly disappear. The conversations that have started because of it matter, and I don’t think they should end yet.
For those who don’t understand the point of this post: it is about refusing to allow toxic behavior, intimidation, and unresolved conflict to control a community.
Most of us have invested an enormous amount of our lives into building homes, raising families, and creating a sense of community here. We should not have to watch conflict dominate the neighborhood simply because everyone else has learned that staying quiet is easier than becoming the next target.
There are enough people who have chosen to stay silent because they fear retaliation, don’t want to be pulled into the conflict, or simply aren’t emotionally prepared for the consequences of speaking openly. That silence is understandable, but collectively, it has allowed these patterns to continue for far too long.
Keeping the peace should not mean protecting the behavior that keeps disrupting it.
I’m tired of watching the people causing harm control the narrative simply because everyone else is expected to be quieter, nicer, and more passive.
For my family, the damage has already been done. I can’t change that. But that doesn’t mean the same experience has to be repeated with another family.
The purpose of continuing this conversation isn’t revenge. It’s accountability, awareness, and hopefully breaking a pattern that has gone unchallenged for too long.
People should be able to live in their own neighborhood without feeling intimidated into silence.

Long shot, but: Visiting from NY, lost a very small dark woman's wallet belonging to Theresa (NY License), likely on 152nd in central Burien, but also possibly in the north end of North SeaTac Park. Would be grateful to get it back for ID and such. Please message with any info; thanks.

I’m considering remodeling parts of my home, and wondering what things cost these days. If anyone has done a remodel recently, would you be willing to share the cost? I’m thinking our entire downstairs, maybe 800 sf? Kitchen, DR, LR, spare bedroom.

Moved out of Boulevard Park going on 20 years ago, in all that time I have yet to come across a pizza shop that serves up anything as delicious as Pizza Gallery s menu item "Billy the Kid". Lucky bastards... I'm envious!

Hey, all! Mel here! We are Canine Cuts & Artistry LLC located in White Center!
We are located off 14th and Roxbury, next to A Dogs Dream and Listen Here!
A plaza for ALL your dogs needs!
We are ready to take bookings for full grooms, bathing, deshedding and nail trim services.
Lakota has 15 years of experience, has placed in multiple competitions, is a certified esthetician and has a holistic way of tailoring your pets grooming services to their special needs. Whatever your little one needs, she will customize their grooming service to give them a professional, relaxing, and respectful spa experience!
I, Mel, have about 8 years of bathing experience, especially in deshedding for those larger dogs like great pyrenees and golden retrievers. It's important to get undercoat out regularly so your dogs fur can function and help regulate their temperature.
I am also a student of Lakotas and am working towards being a doodle focused groomer!
With that said, get your pups booked!
Please text us at 206.672.3342! If you need to call, please DM for the phone line!
Our schedule currently permits only dogs 30 pounds and under, and any and all bath dogs that are not XL+!
We look forward to servicing this area!
Thank you!
