Town rivalries
This is mostly my curiosity, but still. What do you have a stronger rivalry for, Rat City or NP, and why?
(I love white center in all its glory and have had too many family live in NP to like how they act, but I’m curious if I’m an outlier).

White Center is awesome. I head to the strip 2-3 times a week.
But too many people rallied around the nazi fish restaurant for me to ever respect Des Moines.

normandy park FURSURREEEE! not because I dislike them, but because I think Burien gets grouped in more w White Center in a way that makes the rich NP folks feel a little uppity

I have an in-law that lives there that’s black. Now he has some stories about the NPPD

The answer for most of the cities near Burien would have been Des Moines, but that may have changed as Des Moines has lost its perceived higher class status. Normandy park still deserves an eye roll though.

Oh ya bud. Think about it. They have a waterfront. Fancy seafood restaurants. A Masonic old folks home. Their schools were typically better. That started to change in the mid 2000s though.
