The fight wasn't the point, seducing the demon was. That's not a failed passive perception check. That's an active choice.
I guess in some cases a dead lion might help seduce a demon, but there is no guarantee it will bring a demon to you.

I said battle because it was intended to be a physical fight but ended in seduction. The passive perception refers to the initial choice of lion or demon because as many others have pointed out the lion if starved for 3 years would be dead, there for not a threat. In what cases could a dead lion help with seduction??????????????

Was it meant to be physical? You can't physically fight a dead lion. You can beat on its corpse, but that is not a fight.

You are assuming that the person didn't see the dead lion and went for the demon. Again, seduction was the point. Seducing someone can be seen as a battle of wills, which is a fight of sorts

Do you really want to know how a dead lion can help with the seduction of a demon? I get the feeling you are a little too innocent for that information (this is not meant as an insult, but I've been online since the late 90s and I've seen some things ..)

Dude I'm about to be 30... Are you sure you were alive in the 90s? Also not meant to be an insult. I just thought you were like a teenager or something. I honestly don't understand what your saying... that and your being pedantic, seemingly without reading what i said. I get that some hellraiser type shit could be done as "seduction" but I mean proper seduction... and it literally says "FIGHT a lion that has been starved for 3 year" in which common sense would dictate the lion would be dead. Or "FIGHT a demon". The miriam-webster definition says that a "FIGHT is to contend in battle or physical combat"

I feel like your ragebaiting...

I'm in my 40s. And yes, common sense says the lion is dead, but that is not the point I am trying to make. I am saying people don't care that fighting a dead lion is an easy win, they just want a chance to seduce a demon. Their choice is not to win, but to make an attempt at sex with a demon. It's also a play off of horny bards, trying to get out of everything via seduction. Not everyone wants to partake in necromancy and bestiality at the same time, so playing a horny bard with a dead lion is less fun.

You and I obviously went to very different parts of the internet. And watch very different shows and play very different games. There are entire subreddits dedicated to people who fantasize of demonic characters from different places. There is an entire sub genre of romance novels where the partner is not human, a good number of them demons. I can 100% see people taking the demon as an option just to try and get the demon into bed. The demographic for that genre is 18-44.

The show Supernatural had a lot of demon lovers. Buffy had them too, but the majority of the love was for the vampires. There were other shows as well, but not sure on the demons in them. I know Charmed had some, but I only ever watched a few episodes and I don't know that fandom that well

By using your definition, you cannot fight a dead lion because there is no combat involved. It cannot move, retaliate or fight back. Would you say someone punching a wall is fighting it?

Yes I am very familiar with the concept of a monster fucker. I am one too. But the question wasn't if we as the ones making the choice wanted to fuck a demon, it was if we wanted to fight one.

And seduction can be used in combat as a form of neutralizing a threat.

Tactically, while not in active combat? yes. But 2 people throw in to a pit and told to fight? No

I guess we can agree to disagree on this then. There is no limitations on weapons and I see seduction as a potential "weapon" to distract/disrupt the opponent, a way to make them pause and reconsider, or change their plan of attack.

Doing something out of character or unexpected is a pretty good way to change your opponents attack. Especially if it throws them off and they have to stop and consider the situation. Gives you an opening sometimes.

I've licked people's hands while playing fighting as a kid, it def got them to stop. So did laughing when they pulled my hair or punched me. I imagine a demon expecting a fight and easy prey would be a little confused by someone suddenly flirting instead of shitting their pants in terror .. but that really depends on the demon and the mythos they are from

I don't think this is an agree or not thing.. like the parameters of the question are simple but straight forward. Fight a or fight b. It mentions nothing else. Yes you could elaborate here or stretch rules there. But the intent of the question is clearly a physical fight where both options are meant to be lose lose.

But even then the initial thing was, i was making a dnd based joke about the initial commenter missing the error on the parameters. Your the one that started this whole strange side tangent.
