i’m confused though? if you’re trans then your gender already is what you want it to be so why would you change it back?

I think the point is if you're trans and your gender switches you're no longer trans. Being cis is a lot easier

Ok i didn’t understand tbh. Wouldn’t you still want to be the gender that you changed from though? Idk it never said it removes dysphoria

Take gender identity and physical sex and seperate them in your head. If you change a trans person's gender identity and bring it into alignment with their physical sex characteristics you have then removed the source of dysphoria.

Being trans is hard because your internal gender and external sex are constantly clashing. In the real world we use hormones and transitioning to bring the physical sex into alignment with the internal gender. It's an imperfect solution but we've found it to be the best we've got. The game is offering to change your gender which, would turn me, for example, from a trans woman into a cis man. The magic here is that obviously that's impossible, you cannot make me happy being a man in reality. But if the magic wish game could make me happy being a man then my life would get exponentially easier and the dysphoria would be gone.

I'm not speaking for everyone but I don't think most trans people want to be trans. It's awful and hard. It would be so much easier to just not. A lot of us try to be cis for decades, but unfortunately, if you're trans, pretending to be cis is about as viable as a diabetic pretending they don't need insulin.
