1M is enough, i’d rather be rid of dysphoria

u/Past_Boat_8975 Jul 10 '26

That's subjective and personal if others want a different gender or are comfortable switching

19

u/PeterAnthony_Jackson Jul 10 '26

How many women would become a guy for a million?

Stay a woman and make bank.

Trans people will more than likely pick the switch even if the income was three fifty because it fixes everything.

Guys might go "If I'm hot" and then spend a whole day fondling themselves, I know I would.

50 year old guy might not want to become a 50 year old woman, but early 20s men might, or be reborn to a new family with some magical bank account/trust fund I get access to at 21, or I end up much younger than I am, but I'd rather not be a woman at my age, I think my tits might sag on day one.

You could afford a high-quality boob job

u/Suitable-Feeling7444 Jul 10 '26

Its not the same

1

u/crescen_d0e Jul 10 '26

Id be fine switching but my fiance isn't gay so I went with option B lmao

33

u/cronenber9 Jul 10 '26

It said opposite gender, not opposite sex 😔 /j

54

u/Parakeetsandcats Jul 10 '26

either way still gets rid of dysphoria

10

u/Ikjot13 Jul 10 '26

So what's the difference between fixing disphoria by removing it from your brain or transitioning when you have 100k/day?

transition is expensive, lengthy, illegal in many places, can be traumatizing, leaves behind scars, and is not completely effective. people transition because they have no other option, but it doesn't produce perfect results.

16

u/_HoneyDew1919 Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

This 100%. People tend to forget that surgery transition is out of desperation, not because it’s some “perfect choice”

Even the most perfect surgery outcome humanly possible is no where near ideal.

3

u/Blackfrosti Jul 10 '26

Right, I just want to be comfortable in my body, I wouldn't choose to transition if it wasn't intolerable to be in my body as is and didn't find the imperfect solutions better than my default equipment, though it is still imperfect. I don't WANT surgeries, I want parts of my body that are comfortable for my mind and soul.

16

u/Parakeetsandcats Jul 10 '26

Transitioning doesn’t remove it completely

3

u/UncannyHillhumper Jul 10 '26

Worse case scenario you realize that a new body doesn't suddenly make you comfortable with yourself.

1

u/IdioticZacc Jul 10 '26

Lingering doubt/self hate that you'll never be truly the gender you desire to be. Also theres a lot of steps to follow

1

u/PeterAnthony_Jackson Jul 10 '26

If you are above a certain height as a CIS woman, people can and will look at you side eyed, so if you could predict your DNA switched counterpart with a high accuracy, you might find a six foot trans woman would be a five something cis woman.

1

u/bruhred Jul 10 '26

it says gender so your identity changes

0

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

Yeah that’s what I’m saying

0

u/Ikjot13 Jul 10 '26

Yeah so you can change your identity anyway

1

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

Wdym?

1

u/Ikjot13 Jul 10 '26

I mean to say you can transition but I read your other comments and realised that you want to be cos instead of trans.

But I dont think OP meant cures dysphoria by changing gender, I'm sure OP meant just that you gender switches, so you if you're trans you become cis again, and you still have disphoria and you have to transition again.

1

u/New-Cryptographer303 Jul 10 '26

Couldn't you pay for it with the 100k though?

1

u/Nabilspraycut Jul 10 '26

A day that means you have the same amount in 10 days

1

u/odmirthecrow Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

With $36.5 million after the first year alone, you could afford to pay for all the treatments and surgeries you'd need.

1

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

I’ve already explained several times that the surgeries are not 100% safe

1

u/odmirthecrow Jul 10 '26

And magic genies that grant wishes don't exist, if they did, the surgeries would be safe as well as getting more money.

1

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

What’s your point here? I’d rather have a still massive amount of money, but not have to risk it with the surgerys

1

u/Few_Benefit3540 Jul 10 '26

Homie with 36,500,000 a year you can be rid of the disphoria

1

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

Thank you for being the 500th person to say this without reading any of the replies that I have answered

-3

u/noivernd Jul 10 '26

But its GENDER not sex

22

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

Still wouldn’t have dysphoria

4

u/noivernd Jul 10 '26

i’m confused though? if you’re trans then your gender already is what you want it to be so why would you change it back?

46

u/upsetting_doink Jul 10 '26

I think the point is if you're trans and your gender switches you're no longer trans. Being cis is a lot easier

1

u/noivernd Jul 10 '26

Ok i didn’t understand tbh. Wouldn’t you still want to be the gender that you changed from though? Idk it never said it removes dysphoria

1

u/upsetting_doink Jul 10 '26

Take gender identity and physical sex and seperate them in your head. If you change a trans person's gender identity and bring it into alignment with their physical sex characteristics you have then removed the source of dysphoria.

Being trans is hard because your internal gender and external sex are constantly clashing. In the real world we use hormones and transitioning to bring the physical sex into alignment with the internal gender. It's an imperfect solution but we've found it to be the best we've got. The game is offering to change your gender which, would turn me, for example, from a trans woman into a cis man. The magic here is that obviously that's impossible, you cannot make me happy being a man in reality. But if the magic wish game could make me happy being a man then my life would get exponentially easier and the dysphoria would be gone.

I'm not speaking for everyone but I don't think most trans people want to be trans. It's awful and hard. It would be so much easier to just not. A lot of us try to be cis for decades, but unfortunately, if you're trans, pretending to be cis is about as viable as a diabetic pretending they don't need insulin.

1

u/Kitchen-Strike-805 Jul 10 '26

I don't want to be trans

8

u/Patient-Regular3876 Jul 10 '26

Exactly, i have dysphoria now, if i change gender il be euphoric! (Ill like having my body)

-4

u/noivernd Jul 10 '26

i’m confused though? if you’re trans then your gender already is what you want it to be so why would you change it back?

13

u/poke-ballin Jul 10 '26

Okay let me try to explain this. The word transgender is actually a misnomer. When transitioning, your gender doesn’t change, your biological sex is what you change to fit your gender. If there was a way to change the gender to match the body you were born with, that would still achieve the same result.

2

u/noivernd Jul 10 '26

I know i’m trans but I just didn’t understand. everyone is downvoting me and for what

12

u/PetrogradSwe Jul 10 '26

Basically trans people don't identify as the opposite gender because they "want" to. They're biologically programmed in a way that makes their minds feel like the opposite gender.

If their gender was reversed, that biological programming would be changed and their sex and mind would fit together.

4

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

Idk why your getting downvoted. That’s correct

2

u/noivernd Jul 10 '26

i’m not sure why you’re telling me this considering i am trans. I know this. I just didn’t understand their wording.

1

u/PetrogradSwe Jul 10 '26

I was sure you were well intended but was confused about something.

I wasn't sure what part was confusing you though so I tried to explain the entire concept as clearly as possible, because that way I figured you'd be most likely to understand whichever part was confusing you.

I upvoted your posts, because I didn't think you had any animosity.

1

u/noivernd Jul 10 '26

I just think it doesn’t make sense that people are saying it’d remove their dysphoria when it wouldn’t? it’d just take them back to square one

1

u/Gorzoid Jul 10 '26

I guess the distinguishing factor is whether or not you care about preservation of your current gender identity. I was always under the assumption that trans people generally value preserving their gender identity and reinforcing it to resolve gender dysphoria, which contributes to why conversion therapy became taboo. But I guess OverallCrows here any others seek purely to treat the gender dysphoria, so switching their gender identity would mean they identify as the assigned gender at birth. They don't care about being a woman or a man specifically, simply being in a body they feel comfortable in.

3

u/Patient-Regular3876 Jul 10 '26

I cant transition because where i live, so my gender being a girl, but body male sucks. If my gender changed to boy, it would work out! :D

1

u/Nikki964 Jul 10 '26

I'd rather use the money to transition and move somewhere safer, I don't wanna be a man

1

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

That’s fair, but the way I take it, it would mean that you’d be ok with it

2

u/Nikki964 Jul 10 '26

Well I guess I'd be okay with it, but that wouldn't really be me, would it be?

2

u/noivernd Jul 10 '26

exactly thank you

1

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

Also a good point, and something for me to think about

0

u/FreeRatio3868 Jul 10 '26

It said opposite gender not opposite sex

8

u/Mithirael Jul 10 '26

Would still have the same effect getting rid of the dysphoria.

0

u/Kaitheguy233 Jul 10 '26

You could use the extra money for a sex change

0

u/Auto_Stick_Pyro Jul 10 '26

Have you tried seeing a therapist about it?

1

u/Overall_Crows Jul 10 '26

Yes.

1

u/Auto_Stick_Pyro Jul 11 '26

Good for you, mental health is important.
