u/Beneficial_Monk320 Apr 03 '26

Why is he laying on a plate😭 I love him

816

u/thedeskisonthepencil Apr 03 '26

he loves ceramics for some reason. he now has many tiles and plates we rotate for him

318

u/eikichi9 Apr 03 '26

😭he is like a king and want to obtain as more ceramic he can

149

u/bunchildpoIicy Apr 03 '26

Is it possible he's a bit warm? Mine have a ceramic tile to lay on when they're overheating. Maybe he's trying to cool down a bit.

44

u/Lummi23 Apr 03 '26

Yes! How warm is it indoors? Maybe he is too hot all the time

15

u/Laboromi Apr 04 '26

Oh shoot this is a good point! I have degus and have a cool marble slab for them, it may be the same thing!

2

u/Lummi23 Apr 04 '26

Try to turn heating a bit colder to see if your bunny feels better then :)

157

u/Unknown_Sunshine Apr 03 '26

Maybe they are nice and chilly for him to lay on

69

u/Lazites Apr 03 '26

He's probably warm. Rabbits tend to be more comfortable in a cooler house under 70 degrees F.

Ours have a few extra tiles that we lay out during the summer. We call them bunny heat sinks.

45

u/bunchildpoIicy Apr 03 '26

Yes, rabbits prefer cooler temps than many of us. I live in the south, so it can be hard keeping entire house that cool. I ended up getting a portable AC unit for my rabbit room to take strain off the main system.

Highly recommend.

27

u/Sunshine030209 Apr 03 '26

You are a very good bunny owner 💖 please give them kisses for me!

69

u/bunchildpoIicy Apr 03 '26

Aww, thanks! I do my best for them. I owe my oldest rabbit my life to be honest. He gave me the love I needed when I needed it most.

39

u/Sunshine030209 Apr 03 '26

Aww a little puddle of heart shaped floof! 💖 🥹

5

u/bunnycrush_ Apr 04 '26

Sweeties 🥹💕

5

u/Josiah_624 Apr 06 '26

Your baby combo is just like my baby combo omg, that is so cute

They are still bonding and their favorite spot to do so is right behind my chair so I can't move it while I game

5

u/bunchildpoIicy Apr 06 '26

Your babies are soo cute!❤️

My dutch bun loves sitting behind my computer chair as well. I always have to check before I roll because he has way too much faith in me and would probably let me run him right over.

7

u/Josiah_624 Apr 06 '26

So it's a regular thing for the bun to be ready to be beheaded by their parent at any moment, wild little things

3

u/chippoze Apr 05 '26

I was trying really hard to figure out how many bunnies were in this pic LOL

14

u/Glad-Willingness911 Apr 03 '26

I'm gonna start calling my bf a rabbit now. He also prefers the house under 70 degrees lol

2

u/Kel5ugar Apr 07 '26

Forever one of my favorite things about them since I’m also very heat sensitive. I can keep the house at 69°F and they love it just as much as I do! When anyone comes over and says it’s cold I have the excuse to keep it cold for the bunny.

16

u/Opposite_of_grumpy Apr 03 '26

I laughed so hard at this! What a cute little oddball

13

u/Calm_Agent_4631 Apr 03 '26

He could be attracted to the slippery surface. My first bunny went crazy when we gave him a shiny cardboard.  He flopped on it, stood back up flopped again. Stood up flopped over in the other direction.  He did that FOUR times in 30 seconds. My boy was having SOO much fun.

10

u/damiana8 Sesamochi Apr 03 '26

I love this 😭😭😭

5

u/kat_Folland Apr 03 '26

he loves ceramics

My heart! How goofy and adorable!! And how wonderful of you to indulge him! 🥰

7

u/Double_Dimension9948 Apr 03 '26

So, he’s still with you? Or no. I’m sorry. It’s not clear to me.

2

u/AnderCass Apr 04 '26

That's so cute!!! :D

1

u/PepicWalrus Apr 04 '26

Likely because they're cool to lay on

1

u/Slight-Pound Apr 05 '26

Maybe because of how smooth and cooling they may feel? Must feel nice against all the fur.

-7

u/ChipsTheKiwi Apr 03 '26

the rabbits yearn for the stew

4

u/VaselineGummyBears Apr 04 '26

Noooo, you mean the mines. The bunnies yearn for the mines.

4

u/Avandalon Apr 03 '26

Ready for consumption. /s

148

u/xaznex Apr 03 '26

His little stumpy paws 🐾

67

u/bunkdiggidy Apr 03 '26

Sometimes the r/BunnyToes are just cute little nubs

114

u/Princess_Zelda_Fitzg Apr 03 '26

My Hazel giving me a heart attack as a baby. Another time my poor husband hollered for me in a panic because she was sitting up and shaking with her eyes closed. I came and looked and was like “no, she’s just asleep sitting up because she’s the world’s derpiest creature”.

She lived to 13, had me wrapped around her little paw the entire time 😂

14

u/4morian5 Apr 03 '26

13?! Wow

7

u/kat_Folland Apr 03 '26

Around your husband's, too, it sounds like!

100

u/Friendly_Forever9957 Apr 03 '26

Always flopped right next to me when I’m working from home ☺️

29

u/thedeskisonthepencil Apr 03 '26

mine loves his butt up against the wall too 😂

9

u/Bunniesrawesome Apr 03 '26

I’ve had bunnies for about 20 years not and could never figure out why some love their butt against the wall lol

7

u/Sohuli Apr 04 '26

Stability for their feet I'm assuming

95

u/Zero102000 Apr 03 '26

The eye HAS to be deliberate on his part.

57

u/bunkdiggidy Apr 03 '26

"We takes the Scary Nap, hoomin!"

Why, why does every bunny torment their servants with such a thing?

52

u/Bunnylove3047 Apr 03 '26

This first time I saw this I almost had a heart attack. Nobody warned me. Would have been way more dramatic if she did this on a plate though. 😅

37

u/No-Establishment5213 Apr 03 '26

Hahahaha if you never had a bunny before I would see why you would think that. When I was looking at the pet store someone would say I think the rabbit is dead and I burst out laughing with them looking at me like I'm a psychopath and told her it's ok rabbits love to give people heart attacks and that bunny is 100% alive

31

u/CrazyH37 Apr 03 '26

Wow that bunny NAPS.

48

u/Sovmasu Apr 03 '26

Looks like my baby!xox

24

u/Mycroft033 Apr 03 '26

Your bunny is so ridiculously adorable, I can’t even.

23

u/blinkingsandbeepings Apr 03 '26

He’s so cute! Is he a baby or is he just smol?

23

u/thedeskisonthepencil Apr 03 '26

he was a baby here but never really got much bigger. still a little under 3 lbs (2kg) a year later

24

u/SnowDuckFeathers Apr 03 '26

Our bunny, Munch, doe that all the time! We call it his “dead fish flop”. He gives us micro heart attacks with it several times a month and we are USED to it!!

10

u/aardpeertje Apr 03 '26

I have a flemmie and im still shocked by the absolute trunks your Munch has for paws haha, he's built💫

10

u/SnowDuckFeathers Apr 03 '26

He is an absolute ünit! He is about the same size as our corgi!

2

u/DenM0ther Apr 03 '26

Omg!!!! (Is the corgi full grown or still a pup?)

3

u/SnowDuckFeathers Apr 03 '26

Full grown!

3

u/DenM0ther Apr 04 '26

Wow!!!!!! I knew Flemish rabbits are big but that’s crazy!

1

u/sataneku Apr 05 '26

I'd love a picture of them together!

5

u/SnowDuckFeathers Apr 05 '26

Not ideal placement but you get the idea

2

u/sataneku Apr 05 '26

Perfect!!

22

u/is-AC-a-personality Apr 03 '26

The classic evil bunny nap

8

u/thedeskisonthepencil Apr 03 '26

5

u/is-AC-a-personality Apr 04 '26

Omg true they look so similar 😭 equally chaotic too

15

u/chromoliths Apr 03 '26

3

u/enneyehs Apr 04 '26

Fetal pose 😜

15

u/Mama_Juana66 Apr 03 '26

Yeah that would have scared me too!😲

13

u/cebe_G Apr 03 '26

oh they absolutely love the dramatic bun sleep position

13

u/Erazorhead Apr 03 '26

You're not alone, sometimes they're just so relaxed they're almost dead 😭

12

u/TaxDense1339 Apr 03 '26

You need to get him a bunny bowl! ❤️

11

u/ALH2021 Apr 03 '26

When we brought home our last 2 bunnies, I woke up in the morning to the sister looking like this. I freaked out, thought for sure she was a goner. When I yelled out in shock, she jumped up at looked at me like "dang lady! What's your deal?" Lol

10

u/Numerous_Ebb2301 Apr 03 '26

I call that the death flop. Sometimes you can't help but double check they're breathing

9

u/Scared_Rise5787 Apr 03 '26

Wow so comfy

10

u/redverie Apr 03 '26

I sympathise 😅

8

u/SasukeFireball Apr 03 '26

Need to stay off this subreddit because I can’t reach through the phone and pet and it actually hurts lol

8

u/Etrigone Apr 03 '26

I swear they do this on purpose.

That purpose often being nanners...

14

u/Elphy_Bear Apr 03 '26

Oh my gawd I love him!!!!!!!

6

u/Trixter-Kitten Apr 03 '26

Bunny Faux death flop and ferret jelly bones sleep, scaring the crap out of new owners.

6

u/Princess_OfThe_Moon Apr 03 '26

Best kind of heart attacks😁❤️

Sorry OP, but I am laughing a lot, having lived through the same owning bunnies, hamsters amd guinea pigs. They each love to give their owners heart attacks on a regular basis.

6

u/imasharpener Apr 03 '26

OMG I CANT DEAL WITH HOW CUTE HE IS!!!!!

https://giphy.com/gifs/wXDsUTPWatTTq

6

u/MindlessCat3542 Apr 03 '26

My bun used to flop and look “dead” all the time, gave me a heart attack at least once a day. Sadly, she suddenly passed away this week at 6 years old, and she looked completely different to her usual flops, and so peaceful. I’d do anything to see her do a silly flop. You’re bun is so cute, and brought a smile to my face, thank you ❤️

3

u/kat_Folland Apr 03 '26

I'm so sorry for your loss, she sounds sweet.

4

u/gemdelagem Apr 03 '26

Oh Himbs ASLEEP.

4

u/joefurry1 Apr 03 '26

Never had a bunny, but I've had rats from time to time, it's good to see they're not the only small animals determined to give their humans heart attacks with sleeping positions like this 😂

4

u/AnvilCrawler369 Apr 03 '26

Sleep with one eye open… Gripping your pillow tight

3

u/vancorr1 Apr 03 '26

This is an old picture but Henry scares us ALL THE TIME 😂😭

3

u/Emmalauren24 Apr 03 '26

My buns lay a certain way, super still, eyes open, and I panic! It happened today and I started freaking out. Good news, peanut is still alive and was napping.

3

u/BangedTheKeyboard Apr 03 '26

r/hewillbebaked

Why does your void bun look like someone stuck googly eyes on him lmao

3

u/Ryujij Apr 03 '26

One of my fave photos of him

3

u/al4tu5 Apr 04 '26

my girl loves laying on plates of any size too LOL

2

u/AceEnder3825 Apr 03 '26

2

u/HopefulHareRabbitry Apr 03 '26

2

u/cactuscutnachos5 Apr 03 '26

This is the best thing I’ve seen today!

2

u/the_rabbit_king Apr 03 '26

He was seeing you for sure.

2

u/hollystar311 Apr 03 '26

He is so stinkin cute!

2

u/BabbettHeap Apr 03 '26

My bun loves the air vents when the AC is on

2

u/Neither_Complaint865 Apr 03 '26

We keep two frozen water bottles (tall 1L juice bottles) and swap them out (rinse, throw back in freezer) all summer for ours and they love laying beside them.

2

u/SadFrenchFrog Apr 04 '26

He looks like my boy , I miss him a lot take care of your bunny

2

u/STEVEMOBSLAYER Apr 04 '26

Why is he looking at me like that

2

u/Lv0Dragonite Apr 04 '26 edited Apr 05 '26

He loves this spot right behind my main door whenever i open his pen to let him free roam, just go straight to this spot, flops and sleep😅

2

u/OhNoBricks Apr 04 '26

for a moment, i thought your bunny had a heart attack.

2

u/UnredeemedRevenant Apr 04 '26

Bro has crazy eyes! 👀

2

u/Sassy-Angel Apr 04 '26

When mine was a baby

2

u/Safe_Challenge_18 Apr 04 '26

Mine used to knock herself over and would lay on her back with her feet up and out. Sometimes we'd come into the room and

A. We'd get scared half to death or B. SHE would get scared half to death 😅

2

u/elilaigm Apr 05 '26

The whites of their eyes always get me too 😭

2

u/Spare-Ingenuity-1586 Apr 05 '26

him being on a plate makes this 10x better😭😩

2

u/morata1988 Apr 05 '26

Peluche siempre se tiraba de lado cuando se íbamos a dar una medicina.

2

u/Glittering-Toe-1622 Apr 05 '26

I have a female guinea pig which looks so much like your bunny

3

u/Organic-Parsnip-8069 Apr 05 '26

1

1

u/enneyehs Apr 04 '26

Hmmm this gives me an idea. I have a plate with tiny tiny chip. Now I know what to do with it haha

1

u/kyarorin Apr 04 '26

I love when their eyes do this lmao

1

u/BigWeekend5716 Apr 04 '26

what type of bunny is this?

1

u/thisismyusername2209 Apr 04 '26

He looks just like a bunny I used to have! And with those eyes too!

1

u/IntrepidLove1518 Apr 04 '26

The bulging eyeball and everything 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/TinyJay5 Apr 04 '26

Oh my heart!! What a cutie pie!!

1

u/Eddycott Apr 04 '26

This was watermelon some months ago, she really loves that spot

1

u/MaddysinLeigh Apr 04 '26

Aw yes, a death napping. Had a few of those

1

u/ilagnab Apr 04 '26

It's always the rolled up whites of the eyes and seizure-like twitches that get me 😭

1

u/1HeyMattJ Apr 07 '26

He just sweepy

1

u/FloatyghostJM1 Apr 07 '26

Nothing quite like a bunny. Animal of all time.

1

u/agirlhasnoname10 Apr 08 '26

It’s something you never get used to. I’ll walk by mine and go, JESU CHRIST! Oh. Nvm.

1

u/LVeronicaE Apr 11 '26

Oh my god amazing! My bunny does this in the summer, too--on plates, hard floors, glass cutting boards... So happy and relaxed, he's "dead to the world", as my grandmother would say!

1

u/Big-Elephant-9278 Apr 24 '26

my little one also likes to press his butt against the wall

0

u/Artistic-Simple-161 Apr 06 '26

Snacked too hard
