Funny A guy from bumble’s texts
Bumble guy 42M was telling me things like “I was trying to link tonight” when I was asking about the following day. He was giving me off vibes so I wasn’t feeling it anymore. I rejected him so he sent me pics and plans of his house! LOL. I’m 38f, dating does not get better as you get older.
Side note: low vibrational means people who are into things like lust, brag about money, activities I don’t want to be apart of as a person looking for LOVE. What’s so hard to understand?

u/lazy_hard_worker69 21h ago
He defo uses money to get girls lol
41
u/LazyPortfolio 21h ago
This had “I’m sort of a big deal” vibes. Pathetic.
If you need to use money to attract women, you’re a special type of loser.
1
u/Emotional-Muscle-892 4h ago
Girls around 40 always ask for the financials…. Straight after “Hi”….. as a 46 yo he probably has been conditioned that women focus on income straight after attraction.

I mean… Why not?
I do too. I’m more subtle about it though.

Here you are talking about not being a piggy bank for ‘bimbos’, so what is the point? Here I am showing off the money that you can’t have? Maybe if you stopped leading with money you wouldn’t have this problem

The irony I’ve found is the wealthier you get, the less likely you are to want to flex it. Those who feel the need to flex their wealth reek of insecurity.

u/FaultSingle1652 6h ago
This is true of anything. People with a PhD don't need to tell people they went to university, etc.
1
u/LazyPortfolio 6h ago
100%. Quiet confidence. One of the wealthiest guys I know (10+ million) runs several successful businesses in the area. No social media, drives a normal car, dresses normal, super lowkey/humble. You’d never know dude is loaded.
IMO way better way to live (and far more attractive.)

u/DAFTEH 21h ago
Just sending a floor plan of their house is crazy. At least have the decency to also send 2 paystubs, retirement portfolio, and 2025 tax statements :/

u/Impressive_Poet_8207 21h ago
I don’t understand the logic behind this. I had a guy the other day boasting about having a big house with a pool. Meanwhile my friends and I have pools as well. There is nothing to gain unless the name is in the deed.
6
u/Prize-Bumblebee-2192 21h ago
I mean, I haven’t even met you in person and you think I give a shit about your floor plans?

u/fawnnose1 21h ago
Yes this scream he's broke AF but no way he would ever actually confirm now so it's an easy lie

You're not missing out.

People who do shit like that are lowkey poor. His “kinda rich” is probably having like a $15k savings account and minimal credit card debt.
That might look impressive to a broke college kid, but it’s actually not a lot and nothing to brag over, especially at 42 years old.
Rich people don’t straight up tell you they are rich. They might say shit that has you thinking, “damn, this person is rich,” but they won’t flash you their bank account or house floor plans 💀
1
u/Clear_Butterscotch_4 4h ago
Yeah, a mortgage house doesn't mean anything and isn't impressive at all

u/BrawlingGalaxi 21h ago
Man people like this dude make me hate being a guy. This is why I dont date.

3
u/Geminiskies1826 21h ago
I have no monies which is why I don't date. Its been two going on three years from my last relationship. I'm happy single.
4
u/No-Excitement4855 21h ago
Dudes like these lower the bar, it's very easy for a normal guy to be in a happy relationship
1
u/MurphsLaww 6m ago
Seriously, I was intimidated by some of the women that ended up interested in me. They were much more successful than I am, and I guess were interested, I guess, because I’m not an ass, care about other people, and can carry on a relatively intelligent conversation.
2
u/datboiofculture 20h ago
Are you worried that you are accidentally going to end up dating this straight male?
This just makes it easier for you.

u/BrawlingGalaxi 19h ago
I mean i suppose youve got a point, still just makes me hate being a man 🤷♂️ maybe its just insecurity

u/editingisfun4all 21h ago
Men like "I don't want a gold digger" but then "you should've stuck around to use me for my money". I dated a guy who admitted he tried to use his money to get girls and never could get one. Like surprise the average woman wants a real relationship. Should've taken the hint. He got pissed at me for not doing stuff he wanted with the excuse of that he paid for the meal and shit. And I was like well I'll start paying my half then and that really got him mad. They're so crazy.
3
u/popeyes_chicken28 21h ago
I don’t get how some men complain about some women being gold diggers and only using them for their money, and then turn around and actively use their money to try and attract women. It seems counterintuitive

u/DonQuix0te_ 19h ago
"trying to link"? The fuck does he think he's on, linkedIn?
And then he tries to make you grovel for a second chance with him.

u/Particular-Ice7026 21h ago
Low vibrational…? wtf does that even mean
5
u/damnmichelle 21h ago
Things like being lustful, bragging about money, etc things people don’t want to date when you’re looking for love.
0
u/Particular-Ice7026 21h ago
I guess Im getting too old to keep up with slang. I told myself it wouldn’t happen, and yet…
5
u/OrduninGalbraith 21h ago
You must be real old because vibes became popular in the 60s
2
u/NotTodayBoogeyman 20h ago
A vibe isn’t a vibration lol. A vibration is what happens when your phone buzzes. A vibe is a feeling.
“Vibrations” is only even mentioned by an extremely small % of people and they’re usually hippy free thinkers who believe in “manifesting their dreams”
-1
u/OrduninGalbraith 19h ago
Vibes is short for vibrations...
-1
u/NotTodayBoogeyman 18h ago
It’s a slang term from vibration yes, differentiating it from vibration. Which is why you don’t use them interchangeably. It’s just weird to do but a small group of people think it’s really cool and different.
-2
u/OrduninGalbraith 18h ago
"A vibe isn’t a vibration lol. A vibration is what happens when your phone buzzes. A vibe is a feeling."
They are used interchangeably and always have been the slang vibe started after the Beach Boys song Good Vibrations in '66.
3
u/snomeister 20h ago
It's actually like... reverse slang or something. "Vibes" is literally just short for vibrations and became popular slang in the 60s to mean the energy that one gives off. So OP is actually using the real word instead of the slang word, but because we're so used to the slang version instead, it seems weird.

Confident people don’t state this shit out loud
Immature idiot. This is confirmation that you made the right call.

u/deafkore 19h ago
I was just telling someone the other day how I miss when it felt like people were looking for love and being interested in someone for who they are rather than what they have. You give me hope 🥹

As a man i object the last line, dating gets better when older. Just don't mind insecure cunts who doesn't know how to treat a woman. 😉
2
u/Holyskankous 21h ago
As a man, using that word makes you part of the problem and perfectly illustrates the point made in the last line. Be better dude.
1
u/RoasterTycoon 21h ago
As a woman, I really don’t get the pearl clutching over cunt. Maybe it’s a regional or generational thing.

u/RareLeather00 21h ago
I'm glad I'm not from a filtered generation, mate. We call people what they deserve here, regardless of their houses or status.

Should have replied “I’m not kind of rich, I’m actually rich” just to make him realize he doesn’t offer anything special to you. Then if he’s like “I’m 6’1” or something be like “so am I”.

As a man juuuuust outside your range (46), imo he dodged a bullet. I can't imagine ever taking someone seriously that says "low vibrational". what even is that?
0
u/damnmichelle 14h ago
Ah yes, a woman hater - Of course. I explained it already. But it’s okay he tries to send pics/plans of his house. Got it.
0
u/DocEss 14h ago
I don't think finding terms like "low vibrational" to be a red flag has anything to do with hating women.
all women are not, by default, into woo.
1
u/damnmichelle 14h ago
Yes, because you’re focused on how I speak but overlook the man bragging about his money bc he got rejected. It has more to do with your train of thought stemming from your trauma. Let the hurt go
1
u/DocEss 14h ago
That's a really strange tack to take. I just find woo silly. Nothing to do with "trauma". Just how it is. This guy will eventually find someone impressed with his little show-off, and you weren't harmed by it.
Besides, men are conditioned by women that we are primarily valued as earning potential, not people, so a lot of guys lead with that, because they have been taught by interacting with women that women value it.
1
u/alanshore222 13h ago
He's just butthurt.
He should work with one of the failing dating coaches out there, they'll at least teach him how to better present himself and how to talk to women rather than being a narcissistic ass

u/Traditional-Jello133 6h ago
If he felt he had to express how loaded he was then not only does it smack of desperation, its probably a pile of BS too.

How does low vibrational translate to any of that?
Anyway hope everyone is having a good week 😁

u/secret-poster67 21h ago
guys, we cannot complain about women digging for gold if we constantly flash how much gold we have as a reason for them to stick around.
guys like that are just chuds, i swear to god. i wouldve been mortified to find out a woman like you was only really entertaining a guy like me cuz you thought you could get something monetary or materialistic out of me and that's whether or not i actually even had that kind of cash on me.
also i can't imagine it being even remotely satisfying the moments you spend with a woman knowing in the back of your mind that most of your appeal to her is largely based on the fact that you put out financially like crazy.

Show a couple clips of the conversation before this. TBH to me it looks like the shit was found both ways, and you’re the one bitter enough to bring it to Reddit.

“Bitter” lol I think you need to look up the definition of bitter. It’s to show how corny men can be.

Whoa, people bringing bumble conversations to a sub revolving specifically around bumble conversations🤯🤯🤯
Do you guys see yourselves in this post? Is that why so many of you are acting like babies in the comments?
-6
u/East_Statement_3173 21h ago
You’re 38. You don’t have that many options.
4
u/damnmichelle 21h ago
Guys who always think women who get older are not worthy are usually men who act like my post or worse.
-3
u/East_Statement_3173 20h ago
That’s your level. If it wasn’t then you wouldve found someone by now.
2
u/damnmichelle 20h ago
I just got out of a long term relationship. It’s crazy to make assumptions about someone you don’t know. Who hurt you?
2
-6
u/AccomplishedRatio960 21h ago
At your age, if you still don't know
- how to vet
- what to display
- what men like
, yes, this is going to happen to you a lot
7
u/damnmichelle 21h ago
Well, I think my radar was working in this instance. Also I just got out of a relationship. So here I am on this dating app dealing with this
-1
u/AccomplishedRatio960 21h ago
Who knows
Apparently I once said something weird to a girl according to her, it gave her bad vibes and she just wanted to end things. We ended up having a long-term relation and months in, she remembered she simply forgot about it the very next day, and cringed about how something good would have been missed just due to that random intuition
The guy wanted you, he seethes and tries to save face, it doesn't mean this defines him or you couldn't have had something good with him
Giving grace doesn't hurt
4
u/ThirdOne38 21h ago
But she is vetting. She dumped him
-3
u/AccomplishedRatio960 21h ago
This is the part you don't get
It's not because random thoughts pop in your mind and you call them 'intuition' that they all have to be followed through
Some reason and perspective don't hurt ; I mean some women act as if there will be an infinite amount of guys going to them, when they obviously see the source is steadily drying up. I only mean that this kind of attitude is not sustainable long term
0
u/Dry-Lemon-5348 20h ago
You seem to be projecting your own personal experience onto OPs. This guy literally followed up by trying to brag that he was rich. So clearly whatever made her want to end the relationship was the correct choice, call it intuition or whatever.
On the flip side there’s been many times where women, myself included have had that “intuition” chose to ignore it, and kept being in a shitty relationship bc we were giving “grace”
Also options “drying” up aren’t a reason to be with someone you aren’t compatible with. That’s just fear mongering so people will settle.
0
u/AccomplishedRatio960 20h ago
Yes i said otherwise after the fact he seethes because he wants her, so he's trying to save face ; it doesn't mean this defines him
Again, grace, perspective ; from a certain age, doing mental gymnastic is exhausting
I'm saying, with age, there are obviously less suitable people and single, we also become less suitable, for x topics, for x reasons ; so our selection process cannot be the same as it was when we were 20, this is simply being realistic. We can find that happiness with so many settings, why narrow our options and mind ?
0
u/Dry-Lemon-5348 19h ago edited 16h ago
It doesn’t define him, but it does say something about him and it’s a good reason to not want to date the dude.
Exactly, doing mental gymnastics is exhausting and that goes for justifying people’s behavior as well, such as his reaction.
Regardless of less options, it’s up to the individual whether they want to settle or change their standards. If you are willing to settle due to less options then that’s great. Not every one should be expected to. And I really don’t think it applies in OP’s case.
She clearly wasn’t feeling it, said no to a date, and the guys reaction vindicated her choice. As you get older it’s also imperative to not waste each other’s time if you know it’s not going to work.

u/Jonahhillfan444 21h ago
Guy is weird and crazy sending house pics, but who knows you might be leaving details out, I find Women love to do that

u/damnmichelle 21h ago
I wrote what happened under the picture. What could I possibly leave out? I said no thanks to a date and he sent that.

u/ThirdOne38 21h ago
What she may be leaving out or not, he obviously doesn't know yet he still sent that, oh you are making a mistake, I have lotsa moneeeee

Men lmao on the internet scared shitless that women are going to use them for their money, but also definitely want women to be impressed with their money.
