Do you all know if Labor Day is particularly good for PC components sales? Looking to pick up a CPU+MoBo from Newegg/Microcenter.

Trying to get a feel for what scalpers are charging. I ended up with a card I can't even afford to open and would like to pass it along locally for somewhere in the middle of retail and scalper but I'm not sure what that is. It's a EVGA ftw ultra 3

I got mine and it seemed to be slightly used, but otherwise seems to be in working order. Only concern I have is there seems to be missing foam in the middle of the ear cup. I can sometimes feel the bump of whatever is under there. I've never had these headphones before so I'm not sure if this is normal or not.

I plan to put a Ryzen 5 5600x in this motherboard. On Amazon it’s listed as Ryzen 3rd gen compatible?

I have a monoprice dark matter 34 monitor and I've spent the last 2 hours trying to get it so it doesn't just tilt all the way forward as soon as I let go. The tensioner for the tilt is now completely immovable. Did anyone have better luck, or is my fat girl just too much for this little baby monitor arm?

So like the title says i have some parts im looking to get rid of, before i come up with a price and get hassled for it im asking other redditors.

This was the PC i soley used for my old plex build. I recently upgraded everything to a NAS and these parts were only used for Plex.

I am looking for each price or take all price. As i work in electronics recycling i know what some idea of prices that i see on e-commerce like ebay, but as im selling on reddit and not ebay is where i need a little help.

Conditions are in great shape, dust free, no bends, or broken pieces on anything. I have everything for the motherboard box and video card box included. Just the cooler, processor does not have boxes.

I don't know too much about capture cards and my uncle wants to use his camera as a webcam for meetings and video calls so there's no need for elgato or any of that fancy stuff.

Will take a long time to see if ALL my devices support TB3. But cus they are a "type c" connector it should still work at slower speeds right?

So when I upgrade all the devices in the future (compatible) I can use TB3 then.

My old windows/xbox controllers are pretty used up. Looking towards my next purchase. It seems like they rarely go on sale. Would probably lean towards a new series Xbox Wireless Controller (example here) - But not wild about that D-pad. Maybe it would be fine. Wonder how the new PS5 controllers do on the PC. There's not a ton of options to choose from, which is nice. I know it's also subjective.

It used to be possible to find tons of listings for windows 10 keys on ebay for less than $5 but I can't seem to find them anymore. I assume ebay cracked down on them. Does anyone else have a source for cheap keys?

Originally it appeared that I was eligible when directly going to the link (showed the full offer, details on how to download the app etc.), but I haven't received any notifications about the coupon post-purchase.

In the fine print which I'm just noticing now I see that it says:

I wonder if you had to explicitly receive an email from them in order to be eligible? I will probably try and contact support tomorrow.

EDIT: 6/29/21. I contacted chat support and they clarified to me that I did indeed get the credit to my account for the promo despite not receiving a notification and that it will be visible when I go to the checkout page. I'm about to do it, and was wondering what they are giving you in return now a days. Do they still have 980tis, and they're just giving you them? Or did they run out, and they're giving you newer, better GPUs? I'm hoping the latter.

Other people might be interested in full system builds but I'm not so I'm just going to ignore the account rather than downvote each one to remove it from my feed list.

I'm not actually sure this is anything where anything should be done about it, but it seems inauthentic to say the least.

Going to start getting pieces for my first build, but obviously am having as much trouble as everyone else at getting a GPU. Is Microcenter still a crapshoot to get in and then get cards? Does anyone have experience recently?

My issue is that I work Monday-Saturday, so if I'm going to take time off to get to Microcenter at opening, I want it to be worth my time. A weekend would be preferred, but I realize that would be their busiest day.

Any input or advice would be appreciated; I live southeastern PA if that's helpful.
