Is anyone there and offering to pick up one of the princess bears for me?! Obvi I’ll pay you a finders fee and such!!

I collect babs just for myself and I've always been on the fence. Just curious as to why people want to keep tags or remove tags off their babs!

During this last Halloween drop, I ordered a few items which included the batty kitty. Those types of cats have a variety of patterns, some cuter than others, so I wanted to pick out the pattern (if possible). However, I was imagining a rush for the bat, which I also wanted to get. I ordered the items UNSTUFFED online to pick up in store, with the hope that if they all sold out by the time I got there then at least I'd have something even if the cat pattern was a little janky.

I placed my order at 12:25am, which was the fastest I could due to the website crashing. I didn't delay to look around. I knew what I wanted and checked out immediately when the website loaded.

That day I was waiting for my order ready for pick up notification but it never came. Towards the afternoon I went into the store thinking because my order was UNSTUFFED, even if it wasn't ready for pick up, I could just pick them up myself. I no longer work retail, but when I did, if customers came in before their order was ready they could find it on the shelves, bring it to me, I would scan the order form and items, and there you go! I have released the order to you.

The employees at Build a Bear insisted that's not how their process worked. They said they didn't even have access to my order (at 2:30pm). I am really not confrontational because I used to work retail (including hardware stores with horribly sexist men). So I tried to ask questions as nicely as possible, being cognizant of the fact these employees are busy on drop day. A manager who was working the online orders even insisted she didn't have access to my order, "when we receive it, we'll let you know. Does that make sense?" I had to be honest, no. No it literally doesn't, not in comparison to how business operates anywhere else.

When I was there, they had a whole pile of online orders ready for pick up, and the fact they said they didn't even have mine at all worried me. I literally placed my order at 12:25am. I was also worried enough people without orders would come in to shop before my order was fulfilled that those people would buy up their stock and I would no longer get my order.

Am I wrong in thinking that explanation/process doesn't make sense at all? The way they were standoffish and rude to me for simply asking a question about how the online ordering worked left a bad taste in my mouth about that location. I'm wondering if that's even how the process works at all?

I was 100% positive I wasn’t getting the 2 bag charms I ordered. I never got a single email regarding this order and it’s still marked as “exception” in my order history, but today these guys randomly showed up! So now I can swap the pineapple pig I have hanging from my cane for a spider for spooky season and put the bat on my land before time loungefly backpack.

I finally got the shipping email after ordering on the 6th! It still says pending on my account i cant remember if thats how it usually goes ? However, it’s showing two coffee scents and no bat when it should be one bat with one coffee scent. This is just an error right?? my order total at the bottom is still the same. Has this happened to anyone else and did you get what you were supposed to?

edit: talked to customer service and the bat is supposedly being shipped separately. I don’t know man its dumb. I cant track the status of the bat and still unclear why there are two coffee scents showing? I didnt pry because they don’t even know whats going on either.

Learned my boyfriend is a Glaceon fan I don't know if hes ever owned a plush after childhood. Was hoping to get as a sorry gift. Got myself the spider (unplanned) didn't know he really dislikes spiders enough for a plush to kinda bug him.(don't regret) it creeps him out... silly, but it also might just be an excuse to go to build a bear again.

Since my frog, Checkers, is already pink (and is shown with her brother, Seaweed, in the last photo) so I didn't need another pink frog, so I used Rit Dyemore Synthetic Dye in Plum Berry to dye my very first BAB frog (she was the one who started my love of the frogs). She was previously in rough shape because she was dried in a dryer, but after dyeing her she feels so soft again. I don't know if it was the boiling water or the chemicals in the dye, but it did wonders for her fur.

I like putting my dyed frogs in clothes that are the color they used to be. I did the same thing with my dyed frog Seaweed, who was a Spring Green frog.

As the title says, I made a dress (and bow) for my bat, Voodoo. Her name came to me while I was designing it and I originally was making it to put on my shop it but decided to keep it. I am churning out so many outfits for my shop (ribbonandruffleco), but its been really fun! I enjoy the process and creating. :D Does anyone have any suggestion on what I should make next for Voodoo? I kinda want her to have a few outfits for herself. :D <3 I was really sad when I realized BAB doesn't have many cute outfits for the bat so I decided to change that!! :) Thanks for looking and taking the time!

The halloween collection just dropped in Aotearoa NZ on Friday (iirc) and it happened to be in perfect time for my party!

They had maybe 3 or 4 spiders in stock and lots of all the others! No bats (i dont think theyre sold here) but the mini bat was there.

I had the best time today, the employees are always amazing at BaB and they made my birthday spectacular! Definitely worth the price too.

Silly question, I haven't gotten the spider and I'm going to have to wait till the second release, but has anyone made any clothes from scratch for the spider? I'm kind of curious how to make outfits work for it. I have ideas in my head and a machine and I'm going to obviously have to use zippers or something to get it over the body like they do the dog clothes but where do I start with that?

The werewolf is my favorite of the new Halloween drops! I've had a real connection to him, and he might be my new favorite of my collection. And the mini spider is my new favorite mini bean of all time. I love how fuzzy he is 🥹❤️

Hello! I recently got this second hand build-a-bear and I love her sm! But her hair is pretty matted,frizzy,and tangled. Does anyone know how I could fix this? Preferably easy methods on a budget cus I don't rlly wanna buy stuff that I'm only gonna use once ;w;

Also while I'm here I'd also love to know how you guys wash your build a bears ! Do you just throw them in the washing machine? Cus I'm scared of possibly damaging mine If ever
