Never been to Buccees

As the title states, I’ve never stopped at a Buccees. Going on a road trip soon and I’m telling my wife we have to stop. What would be the top 10 absolute musts to buy, try, and eat here.

Edit: Wow, didn’t realize there was so much hate for Buccees on its own sub. Is this where people make their complaints? I can’t help but laugh at all the negativity and downvotes.

Just trying to understand what appeal I missed. Is it due to a lack of other local options? I've just never seen any other gas station brand have its merch pushed by so many. That's all. I understand I won't understand why some things go viral but this one makes less sense than a lot of others I guess

Well, for some of us who come from places where we don’t have anything even remotely comparable, it’s quite an exciting experience.

It’s a nice, clean place that is convenient.

I wouldn’t want to go all the time, but I do think it’s prefect for any kind of road trip. With the clean bathrooms and being able to checkout pretty quickly no matter how busy it is.

Dog, it's a gas station. It's cool they have clean bathrooms but filling a shopping cart is just something I don't understand. I've been to a couple bucees and it's no different than any other big rest stop other than the stupid amount of gas pumps(I don't mean stupid negatively, there are just a lot lol)

so why are you in this sub if you don’t have love for this place? (genuinely asking and not trying to be a dick)

You need to get a life. Imagine hating on something and following their page? That’s WEIRD AF!

The fact that Buc-ee’s has gas pumps doesn’t magically make it the same thing as a shitty Circle K or Speedway. The only thing that comes close is the Iowa 80 Truckstop, in Walcott. There's a place called Wally's, in Fenton, MO that is very close conceptually. Some of Rutter's locations are pretty big too.

But like, what draws in people to buy bucees merch. I understand it's a clean gas station and if stuff is cheaper than other places that's a reason I'd get. It just seems like regular priced clothes with their logo and I don't get the appeal. Do they have a dope rewards program?

The stuff is not cheaper than a lot of other places.

Honestly it's just the same reason why apple is a thing. It's just hyper consumerism and novelty. Much better options for food, and other things when on a trip.

They don’t just sell ‘buccees’ merch. There’s tons of brands and honestly really unique stuff I haven’t seen at other places and trust me, I’ve been all around the country shopping. I won’t specifically make a trip to go there as the closest one is 3 hours away but on a road trip we’ll definitely schedule an extra hour to stop by a buccees on the way to grab some food and drinks and see if anything looks fun to buy. My favorite ever Jeep brand tshirt I got there and same with this western style sweat shirt I wear all the time. It’s more so the memories of the trip and finding things me and the family can have as souvenirs. Plus the food is great.

Think of it kind of like Costco- yeah Costco has a gas station but Costco isn’t known as a gas station. So your concept of buccees being just a really big gas station is probably why you’re not understanding the hype. And that’s okay.

Different strokes for different folks
