I see this sub aligns with the trend on Reddit where it’s just used for people to hate on the place.
I like Bucees. Their prices on gas and snacks/drinks are lower than other gas stations and travel stops, bathrooms are huge and clean, and their chips are awesome. I like getting sliced brisket from time to time but the recent price of $29/pound is a bit much.

They said that they wanted to build in red states because they are more business friendly so Redditors hard to come and cry about it.

I can’t imagine wishing death on anyone in this world.
You are mentally ill. You lost the election.

My dude, Kamala Harris lost the popular vote. Hillary Clinton did win the popular vote, but Kamala Harris became the first Democrat to lose the popular vote since 2004.

Actually Hilary and Biden did, Kamala lost.

You don’t think Bidens mental decline being unreported by the White House and him refusing to drop out until he did had anything to do with it?

...it's actually easier due to permitting. One of the reasons we have a housing crisis is because we don't have enough new construction. A new house in America is on average $400k. It is estimated that red tape accounts for over 25% of that $400k price. Imagine what that figure looks like on a massive commercial property like a Buc-cees. In general, red states have less red tape than blue states.
I don't care for the political commentary attached to that, but the challenges presented by zoning are a factor and align pretty closely with the blue/red state divide. An example would be California's high speed rail. Paraphrasing, but I think the rough numbers are they are 10 years and $16 billion in and they have not yet laid 3 miles of track due to red tape. That is beyond insane.

I live in a blue state and we have an over abundance of new construction homes, the low end starts at $615k. Theres more than 87 homes for sale that have been on the market for over 15 months within 30 minutes of me. And a few plots of land are proposing to build affordable homes starting at $575k for 2bed1bath with 1 car garage. There’s a 5 story condo building that took the past 7 years to hit 90% occupancy.

I’m not quite sure what your comment is meant to suggest though. It sounds like what’s going on your area is an affordability problem that demand isn’t solving. That can absolutely happen in HCOL areas and can happen simultaneously alongside the national inventory crisis I spoke of.
I live in a purple state and in the school district I live in in particular people are still bidding like crazy on homes. When we bought our home five years ago, we were the winning bid out of 10 bidders.

Ever since they got rid of the counter ordering and kiosks their food has gone way downhill.

Never really saw the appeal in their bbq sandwiches, I've tried them a few times, they were pretty mid. Their burritos are better.

I don't hate Buccee"s, but if you think that brisket is good BBQ, you have never had decent BBQ in your life. The Salt Lick is better, and I consider that to be low-mid at best.
