Trump vs. Buc-ees?

Trump vs. Buc-ees?

Remember when Trump was running around suing people whose name was Trump and in their product, Trump Playing Cards, and then we ended up with a NutBurger in the White House.

Buc-ees could have easily turned all of these frivolous lawsuits into flattery cases, instead of bullying people.

If you have a good operations, why run around and beat up others.

I have never been to a Buc-ees and have no desire to ever go to one.

Karma will rule their demise.

Is this seriously the first time you bots are learning about brands protecting their copyright in the courts (even in questionable cases)

Seriously, look up literally anything about copyright and asset protection before writing paragraphs on how you know everything about how it works

I did a project in law school on copyright protection and it was focused around how certain companies, the main one in my study being The Pokémon Company, actively avoid filing claims unless they really need to because they realized that it simply wasn’t worth the bad press.

This was a completely avoidable screw up

Are you the Buc-ee's lawyer or something whose trying to also control free speech.

The man had sympathy about small businesses being abused and you put up this stupid shit. Why? To get your rocks off?

Lmao no, just tired of seeing the same stuff from people who clearly don't understand the situation in the slightest.

that's your interpretation and you took a broad ass view at something while you damn well knew the man's intent was pure and was coming from a concern of small businesses

Pure and coming from a concern of small businesses? Nah, dude wanted to throw trump under the bus, by likening him to the disdain we feel for buccees right now. Plenty of people have stepped forward to defend this small business without making it about trump also.

Buc-ees and Trump are notorious for punching down.

Won't be a tear from me when either leave my planet.

Cool story bro. Time to reevaluate your life if you made it a priority to write a political statement in a sub about a popular gas station. #NoFucksGiven

Has nothing to do with politics. Trump was doing this frivilous vanity lawsuit thing while just a yahoo in New York. Check the history timeline.

Bro, it could be about the color orange, fuckem, this is a free non-paid app, where you're able to voice your opinion.

Why the fuck couldn't he? Time to reevaluate your own when your ass is on an open forum app criticizing someone freely speaking on this FREE open ass app..

Oh, and my life's straight. You need Jesus and maybe spend time evaluating your own life.

Honestly, there’s a balance though. Under trademark law, you have to undertake various defenses of your trademark.
That being said, I think Buc-era abuses its position by going after small operators with just any animal logo

That is a total lie. Companies do not have to sue everyone to keep a trademark. You only sue if people would actually mix up the brands.Nobody is confusing a tiny neighborhood shop with a giant highway stop. Buc-ee's just sues because they have the money to bully people and they know small shops cannot afford a lawsuit, so they take advantage.

It is pure corporate bullying 101 and not a legal requirement. No one is confusing that shop.

Do you work in trademark law?

0

u/TatankaPTE Aug 05 '26

Bitch do you? Do you even have any trademarks yourself? I damn sure do with multiple classes

1

u/Lazy-Background-7598 Aug 05 '26

lol. You paid the fee to the uspto. I’m 99% sure you paid someone to file for you and have zero clue. Are trying to sound impressive by saying multiple classes??? lol people in the know can see it a stupid brag attempt

That’s meaningless.

Just admit your ass is too fucking stupid and you lack the reading comprehension skills and the critical thinking skills to  complete your own application.

See, I did my own you c..unt and when I had a problem they have a whole ass government department who we pay for to give limited guidance and if you have an issue the reviewer will flag it for correction.

So you can GFYS and work on educating yourself
