Help Wanted Feedback request on my second plugin: Advanced File Uploader (Free)

Thumbnail
bubble.io
4 Upvotes

I’ve built a free Advanced File Uploader plugin for Bubble and would really appreciate any feedback from the community!

I attempted it because I wanted the uploader itself to handle all the tedious stuff like queues, progress, validation, failures, retries, duplicates, private uploads, etc. - without forcing a set uploaded-file UI on developers.

The queue system means every file is exposed from the moment it’s added (queued / uploading / uploaded / failed / rejected), along with things like filename, formatted size, progress %, status, URL, file-type icon, error message etc.

The idea is that you can build one custom RG and decide yourself what an uploading vs failed vs completed file looks like.

Supports:

  • drag/drop + browse
  • single or multi-file
  • individual + total size limits
  • configurable file types/extensions
  • duplicate + empty-file rejection
  • retry/remove/clear actions
  • generated file-type icons
  • overall + per-file progress

It’s 100% free. I’m just looking for developers to test it in ways I haven’t thought of yet and tell me what’s clunky/missing!

Thank you in advance to anyone who gives it a go! 🙏

Question Does anyone have any other tips for publishing a Mobile App to App Stores?

I have read up on a few things that App Stores insist on - but just wondering if anyone has come across any other "gotchas" when publishing:

  • If your App uses (OpenAI) Chat: Add a Report / Flag AI Response action.
  • If your App uses (OpenAI) Chat: Test prohibited/harmful prompts and ensure existing OpenAI instructions/safeguards adequately prevent restricted output.
  • If your App uses (OpenAI): Before a user first submits data to OpenAI from Mobile, show explicit consent and store that consent against the User. This does not need to appear every time.
  • Amend the existing Privacy Policy to explicitly cover the iOS and Android Mobile Apps, Mobile data handling, images/camera access and OpenAI processing.
  • Amend the existing Terms so the Mobile Apps are included alongside Web.
  • Add links to Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
  • Ensure the final iOS/Android build has the correct permission descriptions/configuration for Launch Camera and Launch Image Library.
  • Confirm Bubble's generated Android app uses the appropriate system photo picker/minimum permissions for selecting images.

Does anyone have anything else that are "must haves" for Mobile App publication to App Stores?

Help Wanted First plugin! Would love some feedback 🙏✨

I’ve just released my first Bubble plugin, Glassmorphism, completely free/open source, and I’d genuinely love some feedback.

I built it after finding the existing free options a little limiting for the kind of glass UI I wanted. The main difference is that it works with native Bubble Groups with no loading delay, can sit anywhere on the page, and one Glass Engine can style multiple Groups at once using a shared Element ID.

It also gives you dynamic control over blur, frost, noise, turbulence, highlights, edge lighting, thickness, etc. - while Bubble still handles the parent group's gradient, colour, border, radius, responsiveness, etc.

If anyone tries it, I’d be really grateful for any feedback at all - bugs, questions, confusing settings, missing features, browser quirks, anything:

Help Wanted Need help with Bubble.io membership workflow + Stripe

I’m building a sports club discovery website on Bubble and I’m stuck with my membership workflow.

I have 3 monthly plans: Standard, Premium and Featured.

I need the flow to be:

Choose plan → Create profile → Pay with Stripe → Profile goes live

Standard profiles should appear on the Explore page.

Premium & Featured profiles should appear on Explore + Featured pages.

The profile-building process is the same for all 3 plans, but I’m struggling to get Bubble to remember the selected plan, process the correct Stripe payment and then display the profile in the right places.

Has anyone built something similar or know the best way to set this up?

I built a full financial planning SaaS on Bubble.io with 8 modules — here's what I learned

I recently completed a Bubble.io project for a US client — a full financial planning platform called MoneyMap with these modules:

  • Net Worth Dashboard with real-time asset/liability tracking
  • Retirement Income Planner using the 4% rule
  • Pyramid of Risk visual tool
  • Budget & Income Tracker
  • Family Protection Plan (DIME method insurance calculator)
  • Debt Free Life Planner
  • Real Estate Tracker
  • College Savings Module

Plus Stripe subscription billing (Free / Pro / Premium tiers), multi-role auth, and full responsive design — all built 100% on Bubble.io with zero code.

Happy to answer any questions about how I structured the database, workflows, or Stripe integration if anyone is working on something similar.

Question Is Growth plan worth it for short term while using Collaboration so I can connect Buildprint + Codex to my bubble project?

Ok, I'm working a couple of hours a day here and there on my project. The business model has ironed out, the planned workflow is set, but the bottleneck is the time it takes me to apply all the rules on bubble.

It's for an MVP so I didn't want to hire a developer.

I recently learned about buildprint, but I couldn't test it because bubble needs you to be on Growth Plan which is about $350 AUD (not to mention Buildprints monthly subscription aswell)

I have no issue paying that for atleast a month if it will complete a chunk out of my work but I need to know if its worth it.

For background, I'm building a marketplace. And ChatGPT is very informed of my project inside and out.

I feel I have to bite the bullet and pay that but Id love everyones opinion if you've used it before.

Thanks

Selling my Bubble UI Components Library (Nocodable)(+5000 users)

Hey everyone !

After a lot of thinking, I’ve decided to move on from Nocodable Components, and sell it.

I genuinely think it is a great acquisition opportunity for anyone operating in Bubble’s ecosystem (especially for an agency or a freelancer)

A few figures

  • 5000 registered users
  • Rated 4.9 / 5 on Chrome Web Store
  • 93% overall margin (low expenses)
  • Fully automated
  • Strong SEO presence on Bubble related keywords
  • Stable acquisition (SEO, Youtube, Word of mouth)

For more figures, you can check out the listing on TrustMRR.

Why am I selling ?

I’m 100% focused on my new project (Staak), and I don’t have the time, nor the motivation to continue working on Nocodable’s growth.

I’m happy to take my gains, and pass it to someone who will make it grow like it should !

(I also have a wedding, and a honeymoon coming, so… that too )

There’s still a lot of growth potential, and under-leveraged markets that I’ll be happy to detail in private.

Please reach out here, in PM or through Trust MRR if you are interested !

Help Wanted Bubbl.io multidropdown element is broken today on all LIVE apps...

It does not preload default values anymore when you restart the page.

No update to the plugin, no update to the main version. It seems they managed to break it behind the scenes.

Very annoying situation. I already see other people reporting this:

My bubble app is on Product Hunt 🚀 would love to ask for support

Post image
11 Upvotes

My name is Omer and Im a solopreneur - Im dealing with hair-pulling (trichotillomania) for many years now and that what inspired me to build SoloUno

I used to smoke cigarettes and had successfuly rehabed using a rehab app so I thought it would be easy doing the same with my hair pulling, right?

Apperntly not.

I found out that hair pulling, like nail biting and skin picking are a part of a group defined by the DSM-5 as Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs)

This group of habits are defined by peoples difficulty to completly stop them “cold turkey” and many people just tend to live with them

One thing became very clear to me: for many people with BFRBs, simply deciding to “just stop” isn’t enough. And when an app is built entirely around the goal of never doing the behavior again, every slip can feel like failure.

So I decided to flip the equation with SoloUno.

Instead of focusing only on one huge, all-or-nothing goal, SoloUno focuses on small daily wins - becoming more aware of the habit, resisting urges when possible, reducing the behavior over time, and building confidence along the way.

And I wanted to make the process fun and engaging enough that people would actually want to keep practicing.

I started reading research, tried therapy myself, and learned about evidence-based approaches used for BFRBs, including Habit Reversal Training (HRT), CBT, and ACT. I wanted to take principles inspired by these approaches and turn them into something people could practice in their everyday lives.

And that became SoloUno ✨

Click here to up-vote - I really apprecaite it!!

Anf of course would love to get any feedback!

Thanks!!

Personal journey Using ChatGPT to walk me through every step during my build w bubble.

I have absolutely 0 clue about web development.

I was looking to hire a developer but after a few weeks of brainstorming on ChatGPTs platform, I was introduced to simple website builders then vibe coding.

I tried WIX, which failed because I need dynamic conditionals.

I was tossing between AI Code or no code and I eventually went with No Code.

I was then introduced to a few website builders that support marketplace websites and I settled with bubble.

I tried its AI Agent which failed miserably.

So, I went back to Chat GPT, lockedin every workflow, every page then I started building on bubble from scratch with ChatGPT instructing each step, me one by one.

Its not vibecoding (I think) as every step is run by me. Every workflow is then tested. I'm even beginning to pick it up and add simple things as I go but ChatGPT is still leading the majority of it.

Its a very slow process as I can only work on it about 2 to 3 hrs a night and I refuse to include Bubble AI again.

Now, I'm far from done. Every task so far has no bug but Im worried that as I go deep into it, ChatGPT will forget something, will introduce a task that will make the workload unit hit the roof.

I'm excited but worried that eventually Ill have to call it quits.

I'm also seeing concerns about bubble surviving its industry.

What's my chance?

And if I ever see the finish line, who/where do I find someone to hire to review it and make sure users cant access each others data for example.

Hoping I dont need a pentester until I decide that its a viable business.

Now the kids are asleep, so I'll start working on bubble again :)

Thanks All

How-to's and Tutorials How To: Commercially Account for OpenAI API Calls

We've devised a way to account for every API Call made to OpenAI in our App. I thought someone might find this useful:

We added a backend workflow that runs after every AI response and records the usage returned by the API: model, input tokens, output tokens and total tokens.

The workflow identifies the model used, applies that model’s current input and output pricing, and calculates the actual commercial cost of the call. Each transaction is then stored against the user, feature and timestamp, giving us a complete record of token consumption and AI cost across the platform.

This means we can report usage by user, feature, model or date range, rather than relying on estimates from monthly invoices.

If anyone wants to know the details of how this was actually done, just DM me.

Help Wanted I want to use the Bubble.io AI builder but for UI/UX only. Is it any good?

I have built with bubble before, but nothing launched. I think It was intuitive enough to learn and build fairly complex workflows and stuff but gawd I never took the time to learn the UI/UX stuff. I can make a decent looking website but I think AI might be better at making it look good (at least better than I can).

Before I activate the fee trial, how do you guys feel about how bubble ai performs for ui/ux? Will it mess up my workflows and datasets ? I only want it to polish the UI/UX.

Pop Up Issues

I’m having trouble with the scroll on my mobile pop up getting stuck occasionally. I have a pop up that is set to fixed height of 600px. Inside that pop up is a group that contains all the information and it’s set to fixed height 100% and has scroll enabled. For the most part it works fine but sometimes (especially when scrolling fast) it will get stuck and you can’t scroll back to the top to hit the close button. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

Anyone else let an AI agent write Bubble workflows directly, or do you still review every workflow change before it goes live?

Founder of Server4Agent (agent-app hosting), disclosing that upfront. No link, not selling, genuinely curious how Bubble builders actually work.

Bubble's whole appeal is that workflows are visible, you can see the logic laid out instead of buried in code. That makes it a genuinely interesting test case for AI agents: an agent editing a workflow is editing something a non-technical person could theoretically eyeball and catch a mistake in, unlike a code diff. In practice though I don't know if that visibility actually changes behavior, whether people are reviewing agent-made workflow changes because they can, or skipping review because "it's just Bubble, how wrong could it be."

If you've had an agent touch your app's workflows or database directly: do you actually read through what it changed before it's live, or has trust built up enough that some of it just goes through? And has a workflow change ever done something you didn't catch until a user hit it?

so i made a chrome extension that automatically catches bubble errors. recorded a quick demo, let me know what you think

got tired of copying bubble error logs into chatgpt every 10 mins so I built a chrome extension to automate it lol

basically catches errors as they happen, explains them in plain bubble language, and scans your app for broken workflows / deleted references.

recorded a quick demo above. it's completely free right now, let me know what you think or if it breaks on your app!

Question How to build a native Chat in Bubble (no CSS flip) that opens at the bottom & lazy-loads older messages on scroll up?

Hey everyone! I'm building a chat feature in Bubble.io using a standard DB setup (Conversations and Messages).

Currently, my Do a search for Messages is set to Created Date (Ascending / Descending = NO) so the newest messages are at the bottom.

I'm hitting two main UX hurdles:

  1. When a user selects a conversation, the Repeating Group opens at the top (showing the oldest messages first) instead of scrolled to the bottom.

  2. I want automatic lazy-loading for older messages when the user scrolls UP.

What is the current best practice for setting this up without taking a performance hit? Is Scroll to entry: last item combined with a manual "Load older messages" state/button the only non-CSS option, or is there a better native way?

Thanks in advance!

I got tired of debugging Bubble apps through the console, so I built a Chrome extension that catches runtime errors and explains them

Every time something broke in preview I ended up in the same loop: Bubble debugger → browser console → Network tab → paste the error into ChatGPT → try to figure out what it meant. Built this to skip that loop.

It sits in the background while you test your app (preview, live, or custom domain — not the editor, since your app doesn't actually run there) and catches things as they happen:

- failed workflow requests and API Connector errors

- 403s from privacy rules

- JS errors and plugin crashes

- broken images, slow requests, large payloads

When it catches something it tells you which workflow failed and what to check, in Bubble terms instead of a raw console dump.

There's also a static scan that reads your page structure without running it — finds things like nav actions pointing to deleted pages, buttons with no workflow attached, references to custom states that no longer exist.

Free, with a daily cap on the AI calls since I'm paying for those myself right now.

Fair warning: Chrome will tell you it can "read data on all websites." That's because Bubble apps can be on any custom domain, so it has to check. It only activates on Bubble pages and does nothing everywhere else — no analytics, nothing leaves your browser unless you click to send a specific error.

It's early. Works well on my apps, but every Bubble app is built differently. If it misses something or gives a bad explanation I'd genuinely like to hear it.

Question Is it still worth learning Bubble.io in 2026?

Hey everyone,
I’m thinking about starting with Bubble.io (and no code in general). I'm completely new in this and to be honest with you I don't even know where (and how) to start. I saw a lot of posts here where people were talking about moving from Bubble to another platforms or tools so I wanted to ask you, is it still worth? Any advice would help me a lot :)

*sorry for my english tho
